Creaking sound when accelerating

Has anyone heard a sound like a squeeky bed spring coming from under the car only when accelerating (or lunging forward from a slow roll). Dealer couldn't isolate the sound on the hoist. Kind of sounds like it coud be suspension but I only here it when I torque the engine, no sound when I go over bumps. Could it be mounts?
Could it be twisting metal on metal? eeeeeeeeek!

I don't hear a squeeky sound but under the same situations I hear like clinking of metal on metal that goes away after I get some speed, I only hear it at first accelaration. I think it would be more related to the driveshaft.

I hear something like that. It's my seat.

Spring noise

Yes! If you let up off the gas just after accelerating, you will hear it again as if torque from the engine squeezes a spring and then as you let up it stretches back out. Very annoying issue I plan on taking up with my service dept. this weekend.

Yeah I hear it at acceleration and deceleration to. To me it sounds like its coming from underneath the car a little forward of midway. IT could be motor mounts or suspension mechanisms

I have seen my service dept. twice on this same issue. It is louder than ever. There answer is "The two we pulled off the truck today did it, so it must be ok" This is total B.S. People stare at me when I am navigating the parking lot once they hear the "jingle" or "creak" described. It echos quite nicely in a parking garage as well. It makes me sick. Please keep us posted if anyone gets this resolved.

Yu know maybe it is OK but I'd sure like to know what it is. Maybe its the drive shaft, some kind of isue with the carbon fiber bond to the metal end joints. The sound is really annoying

I don't think it has to do with the drivetrain itself, I jacked the car up and moved the wheels and eventhough it is not he same load as when you accelerate there was not play in the joints.

I have a feeling it has to do with the suspension or the attachments for the differential to the body, my next step is to collect the torque values on all bolts in the area and check them.

I just noticed this problem last week.

Any updates on this? Anyone get this fixed?

Same Problem in my G35

Ive noticed the same problem in my G35... another person on the Freshalloy site had the same issue and apparently it was the Driveshaft bolts were off there Torque spec. Ive had this noise for about a week and it only happends when i first give it gas ... or when I come off the pedal.

Mostly I hear it in 1st and 2nd gear...
Im going to be heading over to Service this week, I dont wanna have something break while im driving around.

Here is the freshalloy post regarding this issue

Hey just got it fixed by my dealer. Its the Rear drive axle flang bolts. Which side depends on where its coming from, mine was on the rear right.

PS still a little bit there, I'll have to go back and re torque it again.

This could become a problematic issue with these cars

ADMAN 09-03-2005 10:44 AM

Anyone happen to know the torque spec for those bolts???

GOFASTER 09-23-2005 12:28 PM

I hear a noise when I press the clutch while decelerating mostly in first gear
does anyone know anything about this?
