HELP!:Interior Lights Don't Work

I ran a search on here....maybe I am not looking hard enough. Anyways, My 2003 350z's Dome lights are not working. I did the due diligence on checking all fuses and bulbs.I even checked the current with a meter on the little assembly that the bulbs go in. My vanity lights( the ones in the sun visors) are out as well. Has anyone had this problem before? If so, some advice would absolutely be appriciated. I do have power going to the rear hatch cargo light.( which is strange because they are both on the same fuse according to fuse panel diagram.) My closest guess is that there is something between the door sensor and dome light that has shortet out, and that somehow the vanity lights get there power from the dome light harness to save on wiring.

chase the wiring from the light returning down to the fuse panel.

10 bucks says its cut...you bought used?

My thought is if the fuse has power (and isn't blown) and the light plug doesn't there's interference between them.

maybe someone cut the wire to power a radar detector, or the DLR installed a new mirror (incorrectly)

I'm having the same problem on my '03 the lights worked when I first bought the car (got it used a few months ago) and one day they just stoppped working. I've checked the fuses and bought new dome lights and still not working. Same as OP the hatch light works but nothing else.

Wierd.....huh? I guess I am going to have to access the headliner and do a total wire trace. If I can't get it to work I am going to do some "creative" aftermarket wiring and replace and add LED's to everything on the inside. Thanks for moving the post VO.(my bad)

there was a TSB for Interior Courtesy Lamps Inoperative. Only for the 2003's though. TSB #03-001

I had this problem on my 03. Just disconnect the negative terminal on the battery and they should work again. if not it's a control module that needs replacing. See the above TSB.

my 2003 was doing the same. i just replaced my battery and started working again. im assuming its the same concept as 2k3 said just disconnect the negative and reconnect.

I got them to WORK!!! Interestingly enough I happend upon the cure while installing my kill switch for my air bag. By the way that is a scary procedure. I did not realize that there was ANOTHER dang fuse block adacent to the battery...not the one in front of it..but, a whole other block. whats that all about? anyway, I saw that the wire connections were kinda wobbly so I titent them up. I also disconnected the power cable to run my amp wire today as well. All I know is that they work now and that is good enough for me. G-luck to all those that have this issue...IM CURED!....for now.

I am glad you found your problem.
But where is the other fuse box that you found?

I only saw 2 fuse boxes, one is next to my foot rest and 1 is in front of the battery.
