but i think your car looks better with stretch tires. that just looks like a stock m3 basically. tint will save the condition of your seats and dash. it will wear down fast. look into pinnacle tint at 35-50 percent if you dont like the look of dark tint. pricey but worth it. get it for the protection.

Reason i've never wanted one was bcs 99% of the csl trunks have horrible fitment. People would sacrifice fitment just for the trunk, which imo is crazy. Ones i see in persn just doesnt look right.

There's this new brand thats coming out, supposedly exact mold of the real thing. Might look into that.

I like the look of a stock m3. I keep going back and forth with what i want to do, but a stock m3 will always look timeless in my eyes.

I have been thinking about buying one of these, just not sure if it's smart. It'd be pretty dumb for me to have 3 cars, but i'd love the audi as my club/date car. If i do get one i'd go with the A8L, the longer the better!

audi a8 with the w12 motor is pretty quick but just another unreliable car. audi hasn't gotten nice until the new models. kind of like mecedes, lol. only new models are nice. older ones, the interior are literally poop.

just look up reliability of those cars. i looked at that car back in 2009. they break at low mileage and the parts and labor will cost more than your daily and m3. that's not worth it just to look nice on the outside. leave that to the fitment nerds.

yea 2005+ audis look great, better than most bmw's, mercedes, and lexus. And i've heard about their lack of reliability, only reason i haven't bought one yet. With how these cars depreciate i could've bought one in cash for a DD.

But your right, reliability and repair costs for them isn't worth the risk. Might just get a used TSX, it's embarrassing driving my beater lol

That's what I've heard as well. Even the brand new B8s have oil burning issues if I recall correctly.

Holy smoke at all those boxes Toby. It'd be very tough for me not to take everything out and start putting them on piece by piece. Even the bissell is still inside its box. I really like the current wheels you have on there now and how it sits. I love it when someone takes care of an older car.

Can't wait to see updated status.

So much sweet OEM+ stuff! Worn weather stripping on older cars is one of my biggest pet peeves, glad to see your replacing it.

Thanks, unfortunately i'm not a DIY type of guy so as much as I want these installed I have to wait

I love both set of wheels I have, I will keep both most likely. lmao @ the Bissell, didn't even realize it was there. Bought it for my new place, $40shipped!

I could see why, E46 M3 is the best car in the world to me when running. But that other 10% it sits due to things going out/breaking I spent more in preventative/maintenance/replacement than actual car parts. $100 here, $1.3k there, oh and another $900 right here

my 350z....oil change every 5k miles and 1 window motor

yea, i'm trying to make sure everything is done right with this car. After all these are installed and car is fully painted I can relax and just enjoy it.

I finally found a CSL trunk that actually looks like the actual real trunk. So I went for it! Bissell is still in box

Just bought a new starter, new LCD screen for my nav, new tires (225/35 and 265/30).

Future plans include
1. Clear bra (entire front end, not cheap but better than the half hood/fender crap)
2. Custom Tune (Tuner from Maryland is known to pull crazy power from these cars. With my mods and his track record, i'll be looking to get ~330whp)
3. More maintenance BS

I agree to some extent, but loud exhaust, 450rwhp justifies having E39 M5, here's a clip of mine if your interested

Its kinda bad **** and also the last mechanical M5

E60 has lot of electronics, but its V10
F10 is 4L TT, I dont like driving it at all, its so isolated, the speakers create engine sound, thats simply yuck . Cars these days are losing their charm.

Been a while since i updated my build thread

August 2013: Repaint
Car finished from body shop after repaint. Painter did a pretty good job especially for the price. Wish I could say the same about their powder coater.

August 2013: Brembos
Got my brembos powder coated, unfortunately the shop are ran by idiots (how they're a recommended shop in the area is beyond me). Brakes are currently sent off to be worked on.

September 2013: Llumar Metallic Window Tints
Want to protect my interior a bit, some privacy, and little cooler interior during the summer heat. Went with LLumar metallic, looks better than ceramic imo. 35% all around + 50% windshield.

September 2013: Eurostyle Tips
Wanted to go back to stock exhaust and most likely stay stock. Perfect exhaust for our cars imo outside of the tips. So installed some Eurostyle tips!

My Milltek muffler next to OEM+ muffler

September 2013: OEM Performance Pedals + OEM floor mats

September 2013: Maintenance
Wheel Alignment, Fuel Filter, Spark Plugs, Throttle Position Sensor

October 2013: BSW Stage1
Not a audiophile but require good surround system. I noticed 2 of my speakers are blown so i decided to go with BSW stage1. Pricey at $700 but is perfect for what i'm looking for.

I did notice my front speaker grills are loose and rattling a bit depending on bass. Also rear deck has some rattles, have to reapply those foams that came off when i removed the rear deck I thought tennis ball trick was enough.

November 2013: Tekarbon CSL Diffuser 1x1
Always preferred the stock diffuser, but with the CSL bootlid these are a must
