I returned from a tour of Afghanistan Feb 2011 from a gunshot wound. I sat around sitting on about 15,000 saved up and found me a sweet yellow 350z 36,000 miles salvage title on craigslist. Looks nice but I do notice a few issues that should be easy to fix.

This car is a 2005 Yellow 350z front end damage has a ok carfax no frame damage I can see they replaced the radiator fender and bumper. Has some privat rims, stage 2 clutch, straight pipe exhaust, Megan racing ewww. But for 11,900 and I can still partyy hard in nashville. Plus this car has to get me laid. Yes its possible in the passenger seat ;).

My history with vehicles I should say has been horrible. At age 17 I was a run away and bought a 2002 zx6r ninja all souped up. Didnt have my license or know how to drive. I was sponsored to stunt by a local shop. In the end 2 reckless drivings ****.

Well I get in my first real car. Time to figure out the difference between bike manual and car manual. Not too hard, sorry clutch and transmission.

First project, Cold air. Done, now for a test run. 6th gear almost finished out on open road late at night straight away no cars. Boom hood flys up, locked up my brakes for some god dam reason the abs was disabled. I'm thinking I hit a ****ing deer why the **** did the roof just hit me in the head. I'm calm do a few spins, down the middle of the road end up tail off the road. Car still drives just really bumpy tires are ****ed. Rims have rocks inside them. ****.

Hood ****ED, fenders bent a little, wind shield ****ED, Roof god damit. The frame is perfectly fine..... poor 350z... Now this is my daily drive let me mind you. So I buy a cheap set of stock tires a carbon fiber hood and banged out all the roof I can then did a shitty carbon fiber roof over lay. Looks ok haha. Hey, E3 pay isnt **** and since I was medevaced back to the US my promotion was ****ed up by the rear d first sgt.

Insurance.... whoops shoulda got that... So now its drive able, I'm heading home for lunch exiting the gate trying to get around this guy and I pop 3rd gear in and the transmission takes a **** on me.

I ****ing hate this 350z boy did I **** up. Now I need to fix this ***** and learn on the way. If anyone takes the time to read this hope you enjoyed it. If youd like pictures of the car before and afters. Let me know and I also have a video of the DNA strand I left down the freeway from brakes locking up at 150ish

Have you tried percocets? Lol While I sustained a injury a nurse asked me If I wanted to feel ok or really good and gave me 2 percocets. So end result I liked them but my family has a history of drug abuse so I stopped taking them after about 2 weeks. Ill never pay for any narcotics/drugs.

How do you drive your 350z? Ever raced or topped it out?

Yes, I've had percs after minor surgery and I've also tracked my car.

Now I broke something and I get to fix it and acquire some experiences. Your probably some old **** who has some high paying gay ass job, so go pay some dude 40$ for a oil change and hopefully I've wasted enough of your time you'll.


My purpose to joining this forum was to learn about the 350z. Fix my 350z and ask for advice and maybe copy some others choices in parts/jobs. I'm a big fan of DIY and fabrication projects.

I have and I can tell you, that while it is a rush and fun it is also very very stupid. And when you get caught, like I did, you will realize it. I can tell you that from experience. It is a very expensive lesson to learn. Especially, when you have to hire a lawyer. I keep that lesson in the back of my mind every time someone revs their car at me.

So this forum is full of a bunch of assuming people. I never endangered anyone in blowing my transmission and speeding was a stragith away with no thee vehicles on the road. I don't have deployment syndrome. I did have want to **** as many girls as possible syndrome. I deployed to kunar province afghanistan I was in over 100 fire fights in 4 months lol. So I do feel proud of my deployment and I live by when its my time its my time. Im not going to purposly kill myself but I will live and learn the limits of life. No my wound was not self inflicted. My hood flew up. I don't constantly drive like a idiot. But thanks for all the advice. Lol your probably a tool too. Unless your jesus himself shut the **** up

im 4'1 about 85-90lbs legally classified as a midget i dont get around much because its hard for me to get noticed. anything bigger then me terrifies me, i cant see over counter tops or climb on bar stools so i pretty much stay in my house. im still a virgin because its also hard for me to meet girls because who the hell wants to date someone from the tiny world...what i can tell you is, is that if i wanna drive like an idiot ill stick to video games, if i wanna see someones hood fly up while there driving ill watch tommy boy, and if i wanna listen to a tool all day ill hang out in my shed...i really expected something cooler when i opened this thred but i guess you take a chance everytime u sign on to the internets

I didn't think I was the only military member on this forum. If my NCO talked to me like this I would stand up for myself. To people talking **** on a forum without knowing circumstances I can be as defensive as I want they have yet to earn my respect all Ive had was **** talked. So Ill talk **** back I dont know what part of the army you where in. But **** talking is the #1 hobby for us. I never said I'm the only soldier on this forum.

After I fix the transmission, wheels, interior panels are being painted now, and then ill work on a new engine. Ive had a idea about targa topping the car, but as much as I want that I have been reading and notice that being a unibody if I chop the top off the car would loose structural integrity. So I've been talking to a shop at how much weigh I need to add to strengthen the body.


Just installed a touch screen DVD deck while I paint all the paneling. Looking for a decent sub box for 2 12s. I was hoping to find one that fits where the spare tire is.


Anyone ever had the tranny rebuilt? What can I order after the clutch/fly wheel to make this clutch handle my abuse.

Ive never seen this before but all 4 tires are missing a inch in one spot lol. One of the rear tires had been down to the cloth material.
