Alright guys/gals, i just wanted to give our community an insight on what obtainable whp numbers where after the "basic popular mods" everyone seems to be talking about.

My baseline dyno sheet was lost, so I apologize about that... But, completely stock i put down 239 whp Up here in Colorado..... Results after mods were 261.7 whp..... A gain of 22.7 whp total.... Same dyno by the way....

After Injen CAI, Stillen Headers, Stillen HFC's, and Motordyne Gamma Exhaust ((my favorite mod by the way)Thanks TONY!!!!) These were the numbers put down.....

And yes, i will be getting a tune soon, and i will surely post those numbers up as well.

Please keep us informed after the tune.

T'was a joke sir. We have the same Engine.

biggersNISMO Jul 9, 2009 06:36 PM

^^ I thought you were serious... lol

Rumor has it, these "mods" will put you well over 300whp.... But from this proof, i beg to differ lol

Some say, it's the type of dyno i used/they used to read the whp

IsDatIt Jul 9, 2009 06:45 PM

But Dont You Live In Denver?

biggersNISMO Jul 9, 2009 06:52 PM

Yeah, i got it dynoed in Denver. Every "ricers" excuse is that the air is "thiner" but i'm not an expert

but, i'm happy with my numbers. my car feels like Frankenstein, a MONSTER!! lol

the video is almost done on youtube... just finishing up the upload...

SOLO-350Z Jul 9, 2009 07:00 PM

Get your car tuned and you will gain a lot more. I gained that on just HFCs on my NISMO.

There is a guy with a auto that is putting down around 318 I believe to the wheels with bolt ons. So yes it can easily be done.

biggersNISMO Jul 9, 2009 07:05 PM

^^^ Thanks for the wise words SOLO... Unfortunately there are no UPREV pro tuners in Colorado, so i'm going to have to settle with COBB :-(

Anyone know of a better option for me?

TheOtherRob Jul 9, 2009 07:29 PM

What type of dyno was this?

Those 318 numbers are from A.H. who used a dyno jet I believe.

biggersNISMO Jul 9, 2009 07:44 PM

It was a DYNOmite DYNAMOMETER.... Located at Racing Trenz in Denver, Colorado

http://www.racingtrenzcorp.com/dyno.html

I'm not sure what dyno Arsh used, maybe he can clarify his 318whp power output...

biggersNISMO Jul 9, 2009 08:05 PM

Alright guys/gals, here's the link to the youtube video. I know the beginning is kind of "riced out" a long with the musical selection... But, my friend made the video, not me

Enough said lol

Hmm, well it sounded like you did it in 5th gear, so that means you hit your speed limiter and couldn't hit redline. So you still had more room to go and possibly power. Those dynos read about 20 hp lower than a dynojet so on a DJ you should be in the 270-280 range. I personally think they had a problem with their dyno.

NismoZ_840 Jul 10, 2009 07:32 AM

You lose about 3% air density per 1000ft, so almost 16% (elevation 5280ft). Also its been hot in Denver so some loss due to temp (>68F) as well depending on garage temp. Pretty sure there on calculators online. Someone posted alt/temp corrected drag times here recently.

Will have to meet soon OP, another silver Nismo in Denver. On CONOC now. BTW passed a black Nismo on the way to work today. 2nd I've seen here in Denver (1st was white).
