If you’ve ever wanted to extend your love of the iconic Nissan Z-car from the street to the track, now is a good time to take action. Nissan Motorsports is now offering Nissan 370Z race cars for customer orders. The track-ready Nissan 370Z NISMO RC is based on the street legal Z-car, but is significantly lighter and fitted with a A-compliant roll cage, fire extinguisher, racing seat and numerous NISMO performance upgrades. The Nissan 370Z NISMO RC has been designed to conform to International FIA GT4 and World Challenge GTS class specifications. With some modifications, the Nissan 370Z NISMO RC can also compete in the Grand Am Continental Tire Challenge GS class. Weighing in at 2,954 lbs., the Nissan 370Z NISMO RC features NISMO race exhaust, NISMO tuned ECM, high capacity NISMO clutch, flywheel, engine oil, transmission and differential coolers and a Recaro racing seat with 6-point racing harness. A Sparco racing steering wheel and a revamped
and race-ready carbon fiber switch panel are also part of the RC package. The 3.7 liter Nissan VQ37VHR powerplant is rated at 355 horsepower and 276 ft. lbs. of torque. Numerous hose and connector upgrades have been added to meet the rigorous demands of track use.

Joking/joking! lol

350Zappa 10-26-2011 12:33 PM

Thats a simple mod. Many wire in a switch to disable the abs. Makes it alot easier to do burn outs.

NISMO_558 10-26-2011 01:26 PM

I'll take two, please!

And skid racin!

But idk about this... Doesn't look factory to me. There's no Nissan branding on the wheel or seat, and a standard label maker from Office Depot was used to label the switches. Doesn't look like a factory race car. It looks more like a car someone built.

musubi 10-26-2011 02:15 PM

^I agree.
It's a little to crude for me and no passenger seat.

Junkster 10-26-2011 02:24 PM

whats on the bottom left hand corner of the rear bumper? Like where the tailpipe should stick out it looks like a light or something...wtf is that? lol

jerseystyle 10-26-2011 02:26 PM

I got all the info from a friend that works for Cooporate Nissan outside of Nashville. It's legit.

KingBaby 10-26-2011 03:02 PM

Flame arrestor in the exhaust tip.

My guess would be that this is the (somewhat crude) prototype. The final production vehicles will probably have better switches, labeling, etc.

Gotta love the cable running under the steering wheel, zip tied to the vent and jury-rigged to a big ugly lever.

Alloy_475 10-27-2011 04:24 AM

Nice! There should be a lot interest in this one. What took them so long?

Italianjoe1 10-27-2011 04:51 AM

Love the front bumper.

Highway Riding 10-27-2011 04:51 AM

Also on Autoblog. 355HP from exhaust and re tune?

A lot of interest? You're kidding right?

Normal Nismo is 350 so a different exhaust could easily be 355. The tune is probably the same.

mw9 10-27-2011 08:44 AM

seen one in person at Road Atlanta, pretty cool

Well if it's supposed to be a factory race car, I can see them selling it without a passenger seat.

So is this info "leaked" then?

You're probably right. I'm wondering if Nissan has even made a decision on the project. This could just be a NISMO project that they're thinking about making a reality. Only time will tell, I guess.

jerseystyle 10-27-2011 11:41 AM

Not leaked, (check the link I posted) Just confirmed. My club is working on getting a "sneak peak". I'll try to post some real pics if we get to check it out.

Raw_Shark 11-03-2011 08:57 AM

Saw one of these in person at the Petit Le Mans this year.

Of course it's crude, it's a race car. I want one...

"$164,560 with all the parts equipped and for partsless version $138,230."

Not sure what "partsless" means, but wow... that's expensive. Never mind I don't want one anymore.

roplusbee 11-08-2011 01:28 PM

Wow, that price tag is pretty tall. For that much, I would prefer to go with a GT-R and purchase the $40K manual transmission. That would even leave room for a turbo upgrade, lol.
