Hey boys and girls. I just wanted to let you guys know that I'll be moving to Santa Clara, CA within the next 2 weeks, all the way from Jersey.

I've been a member of the board ever since I bought my Z (Dec 2003), and have heard that there's quite a large Z community near the Bay area.

That's why I'm paying $1,500 to have this baby shipped over for me to enjoy... I would love to meet the people that make up the Z community over in NorCal, since I don't know a single soul, car-related or otherwise.

Welcome! I live around that area as well so maybe we'll run into each other. We have a few meets lined up this year so hopefully you can make it out. Just periodically check-up on the Northern California section for details. Also, if you ever need a listing of shops to go to, we have a directory setup of recommended shops in our area.

I certainly didn't expect THAT many responses, nevermind that many "welcomes".

I knew I wouldn't regret moving, and I can already tell I'm gonna have a blast.

I think you California guys get an unfair advantage over the rest of the world! You're all less cranky, less aggravated, and alot more laid back. I love it.

I'll post again when the Z arrives. My boy Ted @ ScottPerformance promised to figure out the reason my Z smokes light bluish... we think it's the design of the oil return line. I've had everything else examined (compression, leakdown, etc) and all seems good. Another reason to move to Cali -- competent mechanics !
