base model vdc wiring?!!! help
hello I'm new to this site and this is my first post here. i currently own a 2006 nissan 350z base model it is a manual. me and my friend have currently been trying to do burnouts and drifts but its not working for me. i noticed that in other threads it says that the base model has traction control or VDC but idk does it or not? if it does its not letting me do anything and i want to know if theres a way to wire up a switch to wherever it needs to be hooked up to. i would like to know what are all the materials i need to do this and where the traction control module is located. if you guys have any idea please message me or send pics on this post on how you did it. please DONT SEND ME TO ANOTHER THREAD IVE SEEN THEM ALL AND IT DOESNT HELP. I've also noticed that when i pulled the e brake up at a standstill, rev up to 5500 rpm and dump it the rams just drop and won't respond to my throttle? what could be the problem? thank you guys for the help i hope to get help soon

If your car is a base model it has no traction control (TCS) or vehicle dynamic control (VDC), and there's not much you can do. To check which model you have, see of there is a pushbutton labeled TCS or VDC on the dash to the left and just below the steering wheel. No switch = base model. If there is a switch, pushing it after engine start will disable the TCS and most of the VDC and light a few lights on the dash.
If you have a Base model, you do not have either VDC or traction control. Neither were available on the Base. Why don't you post up a few pictures of your car and maybe we can determine which model you have.

"when i pulled the e brake up at a standstill, rev up to 5500 rpm and dump it the rams just drop and won't respond to my throttle? what could be the problem?"
But seriously, if one had the talent, you could do burnouts and drifts in ANY car.
But you wouldn't because you had the talent to do so - and wouldn't need to prove anything by doing such sh*t on the street. I would hate to be your car.

I got my RSX completely sideways on a twisty road once upon a time... I thought for sure that car was going to wind up in the ditch... I somehow saved it.... Pretty sure the ice had something to do with my dk moment of oops I **** my pants.

Handbrake on. Steering input. Handbrake off. Countersteer. Hold. Throttle. All done in about 1.3 seconds then.... Neutralize. Continue on your way.
Honda Accord. 1988. Not exactly the same as RWD as it happens much faster, shorter in duration and far less dramatic than a tire smokin' RWD D1 go 'round.
Go watch vids oif the old Renault Alliance or Clio Cup cars rounding 180s like Sears' T7..... Full opposite lock and on power. Amusing and well before "drift" left the mountains of Japan.
Also known as "car control".hahaha....
