Default Totaled Z

I am relatively new to the z forum, and it looks like I'll be staying that way. I know, I haven't really made an impression on most of you all, and won't be able to. Long story short, the z is totaled. Nothing really that was unavoidable, the wintery mix that Virginia had just caused it, and some black ice, and my friend driving my car. In all honesty, we're lucky to be alive, so there's really no reason to blame him for something that was unavoidable. Things happen, life goes on. Oh well.

Good thing is, I'm getting a check from the insurance company to get a new car. Not to sure what I want yet, so if you all have any suggestions, I guess it'll be something I consider. And actually he's driven somewhere around 50 manual cars, and owned a 300zx himself, so I don't doubt his driving skill at all, it was just a bad spill. Sorry, no pictures either, I rolled out of my car coughing and was way to shocked to take a picture. Plus, no camera.

Good thing is you're not hurt! But yes, insurance check is always nice... Now you had your fun with the Z, time to go out and try a different car.

Your tenure here has been short: 6 months in fact. Bad news for the 350Z. Good news you are OK.

That's the second my friend was driving my Z when it got in an accident. Doesn't anyone drive their own cars anymore?

I'm sorry, I don't care how a good of a driver my friend is................he's not driving my car.............unless I'm really wasted...............which doesn't happen because I wouldn't drive my car knowing I was going to drink.

Thank god you're okay..................Z's don't like it when someone other than their owner is driving...........oh yes, they're very sensitive.

Question

Your friend drove your 6 month old '06 Base [No TCS/VDC/LSD] 350Z with Summer tires in the Winter?

Is this the same friend?

haha, actually it wasn't the same friend. I trust this friend A LOT more with my car. And I did get and LSD put into my car awhile back ago when I first got it. Like I said, no need to be so harsh on the friend, things happen. I'm honestly glad we're alive. We crashed down a hill and into the side of a rocky mountain so like I said, things happen. And my dad owns a shop so of course I wouldn't drive on summer tires.

I guess I couldn't stay away from you guys. I had the option of using the insurance money to buy a new car, or to get my car repaired, and thought since my dad has a shop, it'd be good to see all of it being done. I guess after those couple days, I just started to miss my car a lot, and the Evo i was looking towards buying wasn't looking very promising.
