Well I did the install on my AAM test pipes today. The top outer bolts are real PITA's. I got to them by taking my JWT intakes out and using an extension. I actually broke both of them instead of actually un-bolting them. Other than that tho they were a quick and simple install.
AAM claims 14whp/14wtq!! WOW!!! Is all that could come to mind the moment I took it down the street. There is a definate power increase. The mid-range pulls very strong. Its sound like stock while cruising and driving like everybody else, but when you nail it all hell breaks loose. There is a bit of rasp...but its not too bad. I kinda like it. The power increase feels strong tho. I'm going to see if I can hit up the dyno tomarrow.

YES THERE IS A BIT OF EXCESSIVE SMOKE...I USED A SPRAY CLEANER TO CLEAN SOME DEBRIS OUT OF THE TEST PIPES...IT DOSN'T SMOKE ANYMORE.

yeah those sound great.

this is random but you know what i hate, the two "dents" or the bends on the rear bumper. above the license plate. i can see it on yours. its easy to see them on mine as well.

 

One other thing I forgot to add was that the car revs a lot faster now....its a big difference.

I hope mine sounds just as good when I get my Berk HFC's.

 

Berk HFC's are great bro, a buddy of mine has them with his stock exhaust. Worth the money imo.

i made a lap around the city and no cel light!!! I love these things!!! i can't wait to run my buddies s14, we swapped a Rb25det in to it...and he recently upgraded the turbo and exhaust. I'll post a video up of that too..and if i hit the dyno tomarrow.

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but the CEL will come on. Even if it takes a couple hundred miles, the little bastard will show.

Wow, thanks for taking the time to make these vids. Cold start sounds much better than my audi did.

 

ROFL!!! cel came on today....anybody know a fix? i'm going to do some research...i've heard of steel wool working anyone have any input?

 

No fix yet. Let us know how the steel wool turns out.

 

I tried the steel wool on my AAM TPs and it didnt work, Its basically an extra step that wont make a difference... in my experience anyway.

i won't even waste my time then...i have one other option...i'll let everyone know how it works out.
