Default Got into an accident

What's Mid-A I got into an accident today getting on to 66 east from 234 bus. I was going around the corner on the outside lane when next thing I know I'm sideways. I tried to control the slide, but she swung back to the other side and hit the wall. I hit my rear passenger wheel and then the front bumper with a slight tag on front quarter panel. I hope that they don't total the car. I was super hard finding a PPW 6mt with frost leather. I'm super down right now as I was set to order my vortech this week...ugh!!!

Sorry about the accident. You overcorrected with steering, and the rear swung the other direction?

seems like he fish-tailed by over-correcting, happens all the time with these cars esp on stock suspension. Hope you get everything worked out. I fish tailed and spun out today too, totally on purpose tho.

I will post pics once I get go back to the car. I didn't have my camera phone on me so I couldn't snap any. As for what happened I was getting on 66 E bound from 234 bus. It was a two lane on ramp and I was on the outside. Went to turn and right at the apex of the turn the back end of my Z kept on going around the corner. I turned into the skid as I was taught but kept going straight towards 66. So instead of going into traffic I made it over to the wall which I promptly hit. My car has spun out before and I was able to control it, but for some reason I couldn't this time. The spun out came as a surprise. I hope they don't total it. If so I am looking for a PPW 6MT Touring or GT. I am super sad right now.

If they totaled the car, just get the leather pieces out (seats, panels, etc) then part out everything else, and get a new car.

+1 on conditions? Were you speeding?

I dont understand how 80% of the crashes on here are "I was driving around a corner then suddenly the back end swung out and I spun out!"

Not getting down on the OP, I just dont get how people are doing this if driving normally for the conditions.

Be glad you werent hurt, and that you didnt already have the S/C on...

Not speeding at all. It was weird as I was rounding the corner my back end just swung out. I did down shift from 3rd to second before the corner. So I'm thinking that a partial clutch kickout happened and that broke the tires free. I am trained in evasive driving and other advanced driving techniques. This situation was one I thought I could get out of. Luckily I didn't hit the three cars in coming towards me. It was snowing a little when it happened, but I blame myself. I'm glad I didn't drift into 66 that would have been ugly.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone!! :-)

I hope to get her back on the road soon. If not my choices of a new car are (GT-R, 370z, or built TT Z or any FI'z that is done right).

Good luck, take it to a good shop if it's not totalled and you wont ever notice what happened. I had an accident with mine within 4 months into having it, going through these things teaches us lessons

I did that once at night on a back road and my knuckles shut the headlights off while correcting. Pitch black, I just slammed both pedals and held on tight somehow stayed on the road instead of wrapped around a tree. Wondering how hard it is to hardwire an auto-headlight circuit so this doesn't happen again? Ever happened to anyone else? I wonder if the G's are easier to do this on.
