Well, although we were only four cars strong....should been five...but those darn gaurdrails....Jason???...we had a great time! It was REALLY neat meeting everyone today. Scott, Jason, Jeff, Ed, Solaman(sp), and his mysterious friend (can't remember his name). All of you are a fountain of knowledge and experience, and it's great just to sit back and soak up the Z banter. Ed's supercharged G35 easily had....saaaaay.....150'ish hp over the rest of us! And it sounded AMAZING. Scott...rolling in his super-low convertable Daytona Blue show-car; absolutely stunning to see that thing in action. Of course, on the way down, Scott had to pull over to put the top down...in 45 degree weather!! Overall, it was a very fun easy drive. We took the straights at a moderate pace (avoiding cops), and juiced it a little bit in the turns. I pitty the 5 motorcycle riders that crashed in this terrible black ice just after the turn-off to 9 mile. We saw plastic and misc motorycle parts strewn across the road; I almost shed a tear...a precious Ducati 996 was in pieces. Thankfully, according to witnesses, nobody was seriously hurt.

Thanks for the pic's. It was hard meeting you guy's in the morning and watching you all go out and play without Jason and myself. As much fun as it looked, my new Titan just wasn't what I considered a canyon runner!! Jason and my cars should be up a running soon.

 

It was great meeting new people and seeing a couple of familiar faces. Other than the patch of ice, the road was in pretty good shape. I hated seeing the roadside strewn with motorcycle parts, though. I'm glad everyone was okay.
