Strange aftermarket wiring spliced into intake
As the title says... It's spliced into the intake wiring. Maf, throttle body and runs under the intake plenum. Why? Idk. Here's a video. https://youtu.be/iI2rpBLHUvU

Can you post a pic for those who work in federal facilities?..

Does no one know what this wizardry is? It's absolute cancer the wires are going everywhere.

is it on just one of the intakes or both?

I love when people use to bring in cars like these. Hours of entertainment trying to figure out wtf they were thinking lol

Hell I remember the time some guy instead of buying the right fitting clip he just held the lead into the socket and shoved cocking to fit the gap :rofl2:

Welp.. You can't fix stupid. |
A little history on the car, OP? Who did you buy it off of? And I'm presuming that this wiring was on there when you bought it? Did you also notice if the large rubber grommet behind the IPDM on the passenger side that allows the pass-through of the interior/exterior wiring has been cut or altered in any way?.. In my opinion, since the wire tapping is unilateral, I don't think it's for any tuning instrument. My guess would be for some kind of rpm/ignition timing display instrumentation that the PO had removed before you purchased it.. Did you notice any drill holes in your A-Pillar trim on either side?
