Will OEM TPS work on my PIAA Rozza's?
I am not too familiar with the OEM TPS system. I did some searching and came up with there are 2 ways to do it. Stock, which I am gathering it is a sensor mounted somewhere under the actual tire. Then Read about the band method.
Anyway, I just purchased PIAA Rozza's and want to know what to do to have the TPS work like stock. Anyone have these rims or know if they accept the stock sensors? |
No unfortunately they will not. Most multi piece wheels are not compatible with the factory TPMS. If you want to keep the TPMS feature, you may consider one peice forged monoblock wheels from VOLK Racing. They are all compatible with the factory TPMS.

thats not good! I liked that feature, already have the rims. Can you do the band method?

they will work with the proper adapter - we have them in stock (not cheap, but they allow the TPS to drop right into the PIAA wheel). Hvae not tried them with other wheels yet, as we don't have any Z's in house with TPMS |

I've never seen any type of "adaptor" available ever. If someone makes one, it's news to me.
|
I'm having trouble buying the metal band myself. I just can't find anything long enough...

The Tech - guess you're just talking to the wrong people :) We had lots of requests for just such an adapter, conveyed them to our distributor, who is one of PIAA's largest dealers in North America, and as a result, the adapter was made. It's worked out great so far
They are $150 + $10 shipping for the set of 4. Expensive, yes, but there is nothing else like it |
^^You have pics? Is this made especially for the PIAA wheels or are they universal?
|
sorry I have not taken any pics - it is made by PIAA, but not sure if it works with other wheels or not
