Anyone got 275's all around?>
just curios what your opinion is. i am about to get a set of 18x9.5 G-games(20off) and have hard time deciding if i should get 275 all around b/c they end up being cheaper then going with 255 front and 275 rear.
by the way i am looking in to Falken Fk452 which are at 139ea all input appreciated thanks! |
Where can you get it for 139?
Edit: Nm, Edge. |
Same size tires all around with VDC? Best of luck.

why not 265/35 all-around?
- advan ra3-dt - 18x10 +19 all-around (+14 offset when you add the 5mm spacers) - 265/35 falken rt615 all-around http://img120.imageshack.us/img120/8121/02br8.jpg http://img373.imageshack.us/img373/6756/03oo2.jpg http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/3969/01editfk8.jpg http://img373.imageshack.us/img373/293/04editqs0.jpg |

Additional Information Date of Birth: July 16, 1984 Age: 23 Z/G Owner: z Location: Virginia Beach Color: Black Trim Level: 03 Touring Occupation: Infiniti Tech Of course this may be an automatic without VDC. |
Its is a 6spd... no autos till i retire and even that its not likely to happen :D
Yes those prices are from edgeracing.com i had good luck with them last time i ordered those tires. As far as VDC goes, i drive with VDC off most of the time ... hit that button is usualy first thing i do when getting in the Z. I just hate the way it bogs when i do a hard launch or spin through 2nd with VDC on so i try to turn it off unless its rainy outside. It makes it feel like i dont know how to drive stick(you know ge that back and forward bucking). The bottom line is i dont know if driving experience will be effected in any way and i wanted to hear it form someone with that setup first hand. I like the fact that i can rotate the tires just in case i bent a wheel or somethign that sort. O yeah i LOOOOVE that white z but i want to stick with at least 40series tires to protect m,y wheels the best. Roads around here suck. |
OP, you don't say what profile you want to run F/R.(you posted while I was writing, please disregard)
Looking at ppw350zunit's, notice how the front wheel sticks out from the fender? Well a 275 tire is going to have less stretch and may not tuck into the fender during suspension travel. So you really need opinions from someone running 275s on the +20 up front to see if there is any rubbing. Falken tires tend to be on the narrow side for their size so this may not be an issue, but it's hard to say. I am currently running 275/35/18F & 275/40/18R and this diameter stagger is more than stock F to R and has not been known to upset VDC or TCS. My wheels are +30 so the fronts seem flush and the rear are a bit sunk in (I want some 10mm spacers back there at some point). My thoughts are, it works great for mountain driving and autocross and there are no negatives on regular street driving over stock as long as you get a tire with good water channels in them (the FK452 seem good). They eliminate understeer entirely but also keep in mind if you end up getting swaybars as set your adjustments accordingly. Others have also run 265/40 and 265/35 up front as well so there is all kinds of choice out there, just make sure you keep the backs slightly taller than the fronts to keep the VDC happy. Chris |
btw, i've never had a problem with the vdc with my current set-up. :)

As long as the tires are the same size all around or the rear tires are slightly taller, it should not affect your VDC. I run 275/40 on all four corners for autocross without any problems.

275's
I just put 275's on today and the fronts rub. I have the Rota 18X9.5 with 20 offset and they do rub with stock ride height in the turns. I might put 265's on the front or change wheels???

I have an 06 Base, running 275/35/18 all around without problems. Of course, my car isn't lowered...
|
I have an '04 Track lowered on Hotchkis springs and Tokico DSpec shocks. I'm running Nismo 19x9.5 all around with 275/30 up front and 275/35 out back (Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s). I've been running this setup for 2 years, including mulitple track days without a single problem, so just be careful picking the wheel and offset and you should be fine. GL!

I run 265/35 front, 275/40 rear. Its the best setup for me because it has neutral steer feeling, its still comfy and theres a lot of tire to protect the rim.

Powerhouse Amuse ran 265 tires all round, and from the looks of things, there pretty quick (not that your looking for speed around the track).
