Tire help: nankang ns2's or nitto 555's?

I'm new to the site and i am seeking any input on the Nankang ns2's and the Nitto 555's. I have a 06 350Z with slight mods and im looking into getting the Tenzo GT6 rims(19x8.5 in front and 19x10.5 in the back). I've been quoted for the package with the Nankang ns2's with a $175 extra charge for the Nitto's. Are the Nitto's worth the extra charge? Any input would help because i am going to be making the decision within the next few days. Tread life, wear pattern, performance, and wet/dry traction would be a big help for i am finally taking the stock potenza's off after 18k miles. thanks ahead of time

Before buying tires check these test results:https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....ighlight=tires.

555s suck. Haven't heard too many good things about Nankang tires either.

Nankang is a good tire and excellent price. Also looks very nice......

I would take anything over that Nitto. 555's are garbage. In that price range go for Falken FK452 or Toyo T1R instead.

I always hear that the 555's are crap, however, I have them on my car, and my ONLY complaint is the wear. They seem to be wearing pretty quickly.

I can also cut 1.95 60' times on them (stock size - 245-45-18), at 35psi.

Nitto NT555 Extreme ZR is what they say on the sidewall.

If they are really that bad, I can't wait to try some tires that you guy's say are good!

I have the Nitto Invos and they are far superior than the 555s in just about every aspect. Doing about 90+ on wet roads would have been a death wish in 555s but the Invos were stable.

I have the Nitto 555's. and I can say they are decent. They are no Azenis. but they don't wear bad at all...dunno what one of the prev. posters is saying...I have 10 k on em, and no signs of wear. My Azenis were almost gone at this mileage.

I've autox'd / drag raced on them and they held up to the abuse pretty well, and gripped better than I expected. I've driven in torrential downpours, flooded areas, dry, moist, wet, hot, cool (not cold). and haven't had any issues.

Having said that If I still own the car when its time to replace I'll be going with a different tire. WHY? I want more grip...got to find a compromise between these and the Azenis. considering Toyo's...or a Dunlop diurezza...but not sure on tire wear.

Friend of mine has the Invo's on his Z. He was shocked when we swapped cars that my "inferior tire" held on for as long as his. this was in dry fwiw. but no sane person shoudl be doing 90MPH in the rain....

555's are terrible for the price, and I speak from experience. If you're on a low budget you should look at some Nexen N3000 tires. IMHO, they are a lot better than the 555's I had and are a superb value buy for the price. I got mine for $408.00 shipped off of eBay.

well i worked out a rim and tire package with the rims i want with Yokohama S Drive 245/35/19 up front and 275/35/19 out back. they had great reviews but i couldnt find much on here about them. so i will make sure to give a review. and post pictures up soon with the package on my Z. any one have suggestions on what lowering springs to put on an 06 350Z with 19's and these tire dimensions on it? i want to get rid on the wheel gap but maintain a decent ride. thanks and pictures will be up in about a week or two when i get them put on
