Lightweight Wheel Alternatives to RPF1s??
Are there any alternatives to RPF1s that can offer the same functionality (weight and structural integrity) while staying in that relative price range? Honesty, I just don't like them all that much and everyone has them. I want to spend about $12-1500, new or used, and do not want to go over 19.0 pounds.
The problem I'm finding is weight. My first alternative is the Enkei PF01 but for the size I want (18x9.5 square), the difference is about 2.5 pounds per wheel between that and the RPF1!! :suicide: Everything else just seems to be too heavy...weds, works, and other enkeis. I'm really not a fan of the TSW wheels that are made in 18x9.5. Is there anything out there that I'm missing? Thanks for the help. |

I appreciate it man. If it comes down to the Enkei line, I'll just go through with the RPF1s. I'm just looking for something a bit apart from the norm. I really like the style of few, thin spokes with a lot of space in the wheel, like the PF01's...the less going on in the wheel, the better. But I'm more concerned about weight and strength. Thanks though. |
Gram Lights, similar specs, similar price.
|
5zigen or the mb battles/weapons maybe? i dont remember exactly what sizes they offer but they are relatively inexpensive and light weight
|
TC105-N 18x10.5 +12?
|
There's also FN01RC 17x10? Can't remember the offsets.
|
The stock 19 inch RAYS that come on the G35?! You can find those cheap and they're 18-19 pounds...
|
MB wheels are always popular.
TSW forged are an AMAZING bargain and still pretty uncommon in the racing world for now. If you don't mind used, Advan and CCW are fantastic track worthy wheels. |
Enkei RP03.

Contact NA&CH, he has a set of RPF1's and he's local. Here's the Marketplace thread.
https://my350z.com/forum/south-east-...are-black.html Chris, man I was really close to pulling the trigger on yours, but the more thinking I did, I need to get the wheels down to at least 10" wide, but preferably 9/9.5. Sorry man. Duncan is a very good guy to deal with though. Has he offered anything yet?

you can use 17" wheel for track. 17x10 FN01RC + 275/40/17 hoosier R6. But I understand, 18 > 17 when it comes to tire selection/tire size. :)

Ssr type f in 18x9.5 is your jam.
Peep zilv for a great deal. Chris' wheels are the best deal you're gonna get on Local rpf's, and they're basically flawless. |
NISMO LMGT-4's in 18" can be had for pretty cheap nowadays if you do some digging
Lightweight and forged at the same damn time :datass: |

Ravspec had a set of 18" Work XD9 and a set of 18" Work Emotion CR Ultimate on clearance for a really good deal.
Think it was about $1800 for either set which is a little over your $1500 but worth it IMO. Not sure if they are still available but they might have other specials going on. |
^^^ thanks man. I've worked with Ravspec before. I'll hit them up and see what they've got.
I appreciate all the help here. Clearly there were some wheels I missed. |

18x9.5 square, ~19 pounds per wheel, same casting process, and I found them for 1345 shipped (only $57 more than the RPF1 quote). |
^^^ Just ordered them in Satin Black. Thanks for all the help here

Lets talk 18x10, 18x10.5 or 18x11  |
Wedssport TC105N are actually lighter than RPF1s, we've weighted them.
|
If you want a cheap option. the XXR 527's are about 21 pounds 18x9.75 +20 again thats if you wanted a cheap set of track wheels.

The RPF1's are a tough wheel to beat for the weight and price. Find anything any cheaper, the wheel is heavier, and any lighter, the wheel is considerably more expensive.
I tend to get bored of the wheel design but oh well, hard to find a substitute in the same price range. |

What offsets did you get? Z offsets are pretty low = more material, the 19 lbs is for higher offset F14s.
I ended up going with 18x10 +25 all around. I chose the 10 so I could fit 255 Hoosiers and a range of 265-295 of other tires. They should be about 19.2 pounds (roughly)

Your thoughts were mine exactly. I'm not a huge fan of the design and they are everywhere. I'm pretty content with the forgestars. They should arrive in a week. |
^ Could you weigh the wheel (18x10 +25) so we can get a real weight, not just the advertised?

18x10 +25, not to rain on your parade, just don't like how some ads can be misleading. |
centerline rpm's 19 x 7.5 weigh 15.6 lbs although i'm running storms at 17 x 7 at only 11.8lbs
|
Those are great sizes... on a Civic.
|
you have 7" wide wheels on a 350z? my as$hole probably looks better than that
