Smile New Sho - Time Setup Nismo Wheels 18 with Toyo's TS-1

Had a ride with Sho - Time today in Gardena..

The New Nismo Wheels 18" and Toyo TS-1's were amazing.

I want him to drive my car, to help sort out the ride issue.

Sho has all Nismo Springs and Sway's

I bought his old `18" rims and tires. The tires are BS 03's and one tire is good. But we can test Eric Hu's Car with them and see how a stock Z with Koni's and Stock Suspension and a Better tire than Stock performs.

Part of "The Scientific Method" Sic

Cheers Amy -

Hey John, we had some fun driving around the block!
My new Nismo wheels are great! I love em.... but where are the pictures at!? (Amycroft took pictures of my car with the new wheels since I forgot to bring my camera.)

Yeah, let's go for a ride in your Z next time!

Thanks!

Jim,

It was great to finally meet you, my fellow ex-TL owner!! Your wheel set up was very interesting and Tetsu was very informative about your set up.

Thanks for the compliment, BTW! My Z looks so different with my new wheels on! I love 'em!!!

Thanks! I put on 3 coats of CrystalGuard last year. Then last week to touch it up, I did the Meguiar's 3 step...pre-cleaner, polish, and Gold Class wax.

Front bumper is a pockmarked mess as many people know...couldn't do much there. I think there should be a TSB for the front bumper...feels like freaking 180 grit sandpaper.

Thank you John for the pics!

Yes, that is E S Mortosports and yes, it is rite next to Marukai (well, pretty much). It's Jimster's favorite hangout. I used to go there occasionally with my Acura TL. No, I didn't get the wheels from them. I got them thru a member on this forum who had bought the set but ended up never mounting them.

yes... Nismo suspension lowers 2 cm.

Performance Nissan usually carries best pricing on Nismo stuff. Talk to Jeff or Jason at Performance Nissan.

i have to get springs, suspension, aligment, adjustable camber

kit...mostly i dont have that much money to spend on suspensions only..you know..however, i am thinking to get spacers from performance nissan....that thing is really great and resonable price too....^^

Smile Sho I tested The Take - Offs today on Maxima

Sho..

I mounted up the 18" Stock Six Spokes and S03 Pole Position take offs.. The Maxima is about the same weight as the Z. Plus 150 Lb's of crap in the trunk.

At speed, approx 125-130 Mph through the Glendale 2 to 210 underpass. ( Time 5 AM ) The SO3'S were working very hard, quite a bit of noise. A very hard tire, compared to last test with 17" Z wheels with RE-040's.

The tires were very good. With FWD bump steer the tires squeeled through those left hand turns.. These are a harder tire than running RE-040's on the Max. But they will be much more suited for my daily driver. I think I'll keep them on the Max a few thousand miles, and lower the air pressure in steps.
It's time for the Maxima's 180,000 Mile Nissan Service.

Subject: Your new Tire setup.

I'd say you will appreciate the Wide Nismo 18" and Toyo TS-1 when you take them to speed. It should be like night and day.

I think you made a great choice with the LM-4's and the Toyo's

With Nismo suspension and the new tire/wheel combo:
The only item I'd consider checking is a full "Manual" Alignment.

Bee-Line Service in Fullerton

"we" want to get the most life from those TS-1's - Right? $70
front and rear.. And you can work with him in the pit.
