HKS Hipermax II = INSTALLED!
HKS Hipermax II
Put on a new set of coil overs today. The HKS Hipermax II. They have 30 levels of damping adjustment and full ride height adjustment.
I have them set aaaaaaalmost as low as they will go in the back and there is still a little bit of room for the front to go lower. I may lower the front a sliiight bit more maybe a 1/4 inch on the shock but I will see how the car handles on the track tommorow.
So far. Rear camber is in alot. Like. HOLY WHEEL CAMBER BATMAN! But! I love it. On hard corner acceleration on the streets the rear end does not kick out as easly. Front camber is not that much different. Next suspension thing I do will be sways and the UNITECH Racing Upper Control Arms & Stillen rear Camber & Toe arms.
But I like the rear camber as it is... I would like to bring the front camber more negitive!
The downside of an extreme rear camber angle like this is it is easier to loose traction on hard acceleration from a stand still and acclerating on straights...
As far as how it feels. No bouncing on the freeway but you feel every bump and wave in the road. It is smooth yet sticks to the ground. Bodyroll is next to nothing on hard turns on city roads and my favorite freeways exits I can take atleast 8MPH faster then I was able to before with my Eibach springs BUT I have NOT pushed this suspension to the limit yet. I will be tommorow at Willow Springs and will be playing with the damping adjustment between runs.
So far. A+++ On this suspension. Perfect for the more than spirited street driver and definatly track worthy.

I think I am about in the middle of the dampning adjustment... the LS+ is a softer set up then the Hipermax II but still a great coil over set up!
The front still has more room to move, but the rear like yours, doesnt look like it has much more to move... Im going to try the hardest dampning rate on the track tommorow...
your car looks WICKED by the way... a friend of mine has the same rims but in gunmetal on his car...

Yeah, thats why I chose the LS+, its stiff enough to be serious, but forgiving enough for the street. I dont have the front nearly as low as the back 
You wouldnt by chance be talking about Pat's car would you? I met him a few weeks ago at the Hooters in Ontario. Sweet ride, I remember him telling me he got a lot of work done at your dealership.

Hey Jason, since you're a performance guy and not just a show guy, when are you going to get that suspension corner balanced? Surely you're not just going to adjust height by eyeball!? 
But seriously, figure out the height you want, then go get those things balanced and compensated for your body weight. Your handling should improve dramatically. That's the *true* usefulness of height-adjustable suspension.

well I ran it at willow springs big track on friday...
we set it by measuring... i didnt align the car, too low for the alignment rack... i gotta get it aligned somewhere... and of course will ballance with me in the car too
i had a supprize at the track... i watched my wheel weights work their way from the out side to the inside of my wheel... i have no more wheel weights on my car! haha... need to tape them on with metal tape next time i run on a track when it is 104degrees out side!
but handles beautifully!

Got a question. Once you get the alignment. What specs do you use to bring it back into alignment. Would you use the new TSB specs?

Saw this setup in person on Jason's car the other day ...
Looks great ... pretty much slammed (in a serious race-like fashion) but the front could use another 1/2" or so of lowering. I would do this mod, but I dont want to run into that crazy camber issue.
And Jason .. I am gonna take you up on that offer for the lesson at the next track day

Looks like a pretty radical drop. Any concerns about ripping off that slick new carbon bumper with city driving? Also Jason, did I read somewhere that you were selling the Eibach kit for 205.00? If so, hit me with a PM I'll take em.

Jason, by your photos, you don't look like you have much camber. My car is about the same height (if not lower, and there's plenty of adjustment to go MUCH lower), and I'm running -1.7 or -1.8 camber all around. After 12K miles and about 1500 track miles, I experience no significant tire wear on my inside treads. A camber kit is simply a waste of money in my opinion. If you have -2.5, then I think a camber kit is justified.

The difference between the LS+ and the Hypermax II is,......
LS+ 448/448 (G35 448/336)
II 504/504
And that the II's are valved much more towards performance from low to high in their dampner adjustment range, whereas the LS+ system is valved much more towards comfort in throughout it's dampner adjustment range.

Tein Flex is still a great suspension... but more I was looking for something more track tuned... This will hold me over until I get my moton suspension
but that will be when I make my car into a dedicated track car
