Exclamation Oil pressure gauge repair?

Hey everybody my name is clint new to the forum and i own a 2003 nissia 350z and my oil pressure gauge is acting up i know its not the sensor i have replaced that. the gauge gets stuck at 120 and i tap on it kinda hard and it gets like unstuck?? and drops down to normal. is there a way to repair the gauge and not have to order a new one. any ideas? also any ideas on where to get a decent price one if needed. or anybody have one for sale

You can buy a used set of gauges on eBay for maybe $30.

Just get the ebay ones its only $30 it will take alot of broken ones to make up for the new one. Just make sure you get an 03-05 as they have the TMPS gauge built in and the older ones don't.

Yeah, you'd have to be nuts to give Nissan $300 for that gauge, which is not known for its accuracy, anyway.

If you don't want to gamble with used parts , or with eBay , and you have 300 to waste/spend. I would just get a aftermarket oil pressure gauge that uses the stock sensor and then I would get an A-pillar 3 pod setup, that way you could also get to use it for tranny temp and egts or whatever you like. Function but also adds a nice look to the interior
