Cool my first mod: plenum spacer *pics*

Just installed my motordyne 5/16 plenum spacer. It is my first engine mod other than jwt pop charger intake which doesnt really do anything. I am happy with it and it has noticible gain at high-end rpm. Installation was pretty straight forward. enjoy the pics

I think the pop charger was more of a gain than your spacer.

Nope , not at all. Both have nice gains , but i feel i got more from the popcharger. Before the popcharger (my first mod ) it was flat above 5K rpm.

Default Spacer > Pop-Charger

The spacer by far yields more gains than a pop-charger. I did base line dynos before and after the spacer, and the spacer added a solid 9whp gain on a DJ.
Great bang for the buck IMO.

Congrats on your install...

How about the 14 gained here. http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/wol...ARGER-TEST.pdf i'm sure it varies from car to car. May i should pull mine off and try with just the spacer, and see what the differences feel like.

I can also vouch that the spacer does more good. We performed a professionally calibrated before and after "street" test against my Z

That dyno may have many unknown variables, such as temps and airflow. Most manufacturers pick the worst baseline dyno and the BEST after dyno to compare. Usually conditions favor the part the manufacturer makes. And I'm too lazy to check, but I'm pretty sure that that link is not whp on a dynojet.

2 words for you...manufacture's claims.
Although JWT is a respectable company, numbers can always be fudged.

Run a couple baseline dynos with and without your spacer if you can. And if you still believe that a pop-charger gives you more gains...look into buying this gem: http://www.kinetixracing.com/index.a...ProdID=12&HS=1

6 tops sounds about right within ideal conditions.
