I think normally in the drag race you have to be all windows up, But I also saw some MGF club racing on the TV without the top. Can I drag the roadster without the top but windows up?

If i could, I want to test out the 1/4 miles time difference between top up or down.
And yun, this time I hope we could meet somewhere before the drag and go there together
What time would the drag start?

It looks like the helmet is required, but I'm still getting it double-checked.
Also, it looks like we can get the discount that NDSOC is getting as well. We just need to say that we're part of their group and we'll get to compete for $45 (instead of $55). We can also get in spectators like this for $10 (instead of $15).

hehe, that's because you don't practice. It's a vicious cycle - you don't 'practice', so you get beaten. If you 'practica' then you will get better and stand less chance of getting beaten, and hence it will help with your phobia ;-) None of us are born experts.
So I'm with LK - be a man, and make a commitment to whoop some ****.
ps.
Here is a phylosophical question - why performance mod the car if you're not going to use them? Why not just do 'bling bling' mods?

Would be interesting to know what it's like if anyone is game to spend a few $$$ on it.

Hi Guys,
Can everyone who is coming to Calder on Friday send me a PM with their name? Reason I ask is that if we give our names to the NDSOC then they can put our names at the door and we'll get a $10 discount (each) ... which will get you in for $45 and a spectator for $10.
If you put down your name, and then change your mind about coming then it's no big deal, as it won't cost you anything, and no one wil be upset. On the other hand, if you don't have your name at the door, you can still roll up, you'll just have to pay full price.
ps. It'd be good if I could send them a 'door list' ASAP.

One more thing, if you know anyone that wants to come then they are very much welcome ... it's an 'open event' that welcomes all cars.
Besides that, I'm more than interested in what the other car there will do.
So, if you know someone else that wants to come, then let me know, and I'll leave their name at the door as well so that they can also get the discount.

Calder is happening this Friday, so just seeing who is going to be there (wether permitting). I'm planning to get there at around 5:45pm.
I'm bringing 2 helmnets so that people can borrow at least one of them. Anyone else bringing a helmet?
ps. Reminder that is anyone wants to come, and get the $10 discount, then you'll have to let me know so that I can leave your name at the door. That goes for 'drivers' as well as spectators'.

I've got 2 helmets. Will bring 'em both. I might try to get there a bit earlier to try and beat the traffic.
btw - what is NDSOC in case I need to know at the gate?

Good idea ... I should 'try' and do the same.

Just say that you're with the Nissan Datsun Sports Owners Club (ie. NDSOC), and ask for Matty Freeman ... he's got the 'door list', and he'll be there waiting.

Tomorrow is the 'drag day', and it's looking like we'll have good weather:
"Tonight and Friday Fine. A mainly sunny day with light wind and afternoon seabreezes."
I'll be aiming to get there at around 5:45pm (or earlier if possible), and I'll bring 2 helments. Will I see anyone else besides LK and ypwpat?
Remember to say that you're with the Nissan Datsun Sports Owners Club (ie. NDSOC), and ask for Matty Freeman who's got you on the HDSOC 'door list' for the entry fee discount.
