I have a little bit of experience doing import and export shipping at work, and based on what I know there are two ways to set up shipping terms for an international shipment - DDP (Delivered Duty-paid) and DDU (Delivered Duty-unpaid). There is usually a check box on the shipping form to choose between the two options. In the case of DDP, the recipient does not pay any import duties/taxes. However in the case of DDU, any applicable import taxes will be levied unto the recipient. They already have your address, so they know where to send the bill.

Since Jay is selling these things for a particular price advertised as "shipped", then it seems to me that they should be shipping DDP so we don't pay any import taxes. EDIT: Typically a vendor will estimate any import taxes and build it into the price of the product they are selling, so that they are getting their money without making it "apparent" to the Customer in the form of a separate billable line item.

I'm also confused about something: Are these being shipped directly from the factory to each one of the buyers individually, or do they come to wherever Jay is actually located and he splits them down and routes them to the buyers accordingly?

^ Looks awesome, good work! I just ordered my front lip and was considering getting that shifter cover too. Did you have any issues with fitment on either piece?

Post deleted.

Didn't realize Jon had ordered the VSV1, not the Mines style.

@ TPete: I think Jon70Proof is mistaken....the lip he got appears to be the "VSV1" lip (i.e. Evo-R's version of the Veilside V1 lip), and NOT the Mine's lip. Hopefully either Jon or Jay will clarify that...

EDIT: Jon70Proof's lip is definitely the VSV1 style....you can see the indentation in the center top portion of the lip. Mine's lip doesn't have that.

If you order the Mine's lip, it should look like the ones in the original post.

yea mine is the VSV1 perfect fit and finish from both you have to take the whole shifter piece apart to mount the cover but its reasonably easy I had the mines on my silver z the mines was on backorder so I went with the vsv1

Phew! Glad to hear that you got what you ordered and not a switch-a-roo.

I'll delete my post to avoid sabotaging the thread.

Sry110, my tracking number showed the lip being shipped from the factory in Taiwan. Just to let you know.

The VSV1 looks nice JonProof, I was torn between the two, but just pulled the trigger on the Mine's.

yea I like the fact that the vsv1 had the indent that follows the factory bumper on the 06+ but both are great products

Could you post some more pics from different angles of your new lip installed?

Sick man. I actually ended up going with the Mine's lip, and I just got done test fitting it. I must admit I'm pretty blown-away by how well it fits. I would say it fits as well, if not better, than my authentic VeilSide V1 lip. My only gripe is that the center portion bows up a bit just left of center (toward the passenger side) but I think the material is flexible enough that I can get it to stick down with 3M tape. Within the next couple weeks I will be getting a fresh paint job on my front bumper and hood, and also getting the lip clear coated.

install it as is, just wax the lip every other time you wash the car and you should be good, takes like two seconds more to wax or polish it theres plenty of clear on these lips, I had the Mine's on my 04 and it did perfect for about a year, but rock chips got the best of it and I had to have it re cleared and the shop I had do it did a great job I was trying to figure out what spray on rock chip guard they put on it after the clear but I can't seem to find it. Ill try to figure it out and let everyone know.

Sry110 i'd say just wax/polish it as others suggested. I got CF so I could paint it later down the road if being low gets the best of it. Its a good feeling knowing that you haven't paid to paint the lip yet, and when you feel as though it needs paint, then you can get it painted. At least thats my plan, haha.

The lip looks nice though, we have similar tastes when modding

I'm not as worried about rock chips as I am with the CF getting faded / yellowed. If/when that happens, is there any way to get rid of that effect (sand/polish/re-clear?)? That's why I was thinking I would just clear-coat it now.
