Default Clear Reflectors Install

I Also Did It Without Removing Wheels Or Bumper. Did Driver Side First By Removing 2 Bolts To Inner Wheel Well Skin. Other Side A Little Less Room, But I Used A Stubby And Ratchet Stubby. Looks Great and took 30 minutes.

For 05's and older, there are a couple of good DIY threads on replacing the amber diffusers inside the headlights which the bumper does have to come off to do.

My new side reflectors are clear but without LED's. I've replaced the amber turn signal bulb with chrome covered ones since this pic was taken

You might consider swapping out the amber turn signal bulb for a chrome covered. small but nice touch for a cleaner look. nice write up.

I dont even like that b/c there isnt a HID kit on the front.... soooo the LED blue and the Halogen yellow looks gay... awesome guide to install....really good job.

I would go with a Xenon 10k or 8k.

Great to see that members are still benefiting from my little DIY. It's been a very long time since I wrote it and I should add that 5-6 months after adding those lighted reflectors, I painted my headlights and also installed white LEDs in them to act as parking lights. Some of them burnt out from the HIDs' heat within a few months so a year ago, while the car was in winter storage, I replaced the OEM front bumper with my perennial favorite, the Nismo V2, making the side markets unnecessary (thankfully!). Also, at the same time, I did the clear lens mod and installed halos around my projectors to act as parking lights. What a difference! This winter, I repainted the lights (from gray to black) and made some other changes, so now the car looks like this:

Headlights off:

Headlights on:

Color mod for the projectors:

Color band as it appears to the driver or pedestrian passing through the cut-off:

Holy **** man. Pardon my French, but you don't know a damn thing about HIDs, do you? I wish I had seen this post before...you may be running a "kit" by now.

I mean, come on! Do you know how idiotic HID kits are? There is a reason why they are a ricer's illumination method of choice. The irregular light dispersion, hotspots, and resulting blinding of oncoming traffic are their signature. The 06+ Z's Koito projectors are very high quality and blow the ridiculous kits out of the water with their laser-sharp cut-off and intense beams. And 8K or 10K bulbs? Only someone interested in cutting their night time visibility by more than 50% (especially in the rain) would go with those. What I've done with the color mod is a million times better than anything a high Kelvin bulb can provide; the cut-off gives a momentary burst of intense color to the oncoming traffic while actually increasing light output since they aren't fresneled like the OEM lenses.
