its any different.. match colors at the combination switch, theres a plug for the cruise that goes right in back of it, pull it off, hang it down.. splice into it, plug the thing back in.. and mount your switch guts off the st wheel whereever youre crafty enuff to put it.

So....

just unplug the gray connect going into the swivel control and pair the wires to the cruise control?

prepped everything and plan to do that

Yezzur.. the same colors for the wires in the column follow into the harness past the combo switch/clock spring.
Pull the plug and it makes it easier to splice into.. not sure why I plugged it back in after... just seemed a good idea I guess.
it was easier than I assumed it would be honestly....

Default 07/08 wiring

So in addition to this DIY for 07/08 guys confirming it works as well.

Once you remove the cruise control panel from the steering wheel as instructed.

Remove the gray connector and peel away the plastic shielding so you can tap into the following wires...then plug it back it seeing you more than likely want the horn to work!

Black cruise control wire to the gray connector's black with yellow strip

Red cruise control wire to the gray connector's mostly Green with yellow strip
Will upload a picture later of the wiring

Picture of my final setup, if you remove the lower steering column plastic covering. The two mounting points that attach that cover can be used to mount a "L" shaped bracket to screw in the cruise panel.

All in all very simple and pretty straight forward

I just did this and put mine in the little coin pocket in the console. I took all the pieces off and just have it in there snuggly. I cut a slit in the coin deal so I can remove it when I need to. I removed the 2 screw posts and shaved it square to make it fit also.

I tried to figure out a way to reuse the steering wheel plastic piece it fits into in the cubby but never was happy with how it looked.

There really isn't much more to it. The pictures from the OP were all that was needed IMO.

I relocated mine 2 yrs ago and just made a simple bracket bolt to hub setup,
no wires were cut, stock length was actually too long and had to loom it up'

took a few snaps

Dug this up just as a reference for anyone who decides to do it. Got around to doing it after not having cruise control for a year because of switching my steering wheel.
