Was searching around for a DIY and found this post! Thanks for the post, just got all the stuff at the hardware store and hopefully it comes out as good as yours ..

Just gotta get the paint now.

I'll post pics once I do this

FYI, after a year or so they start to fade and chip pretty bad.

I think powdercoating would be the best solution.

Default Thanks for the write up! Just got all my stuff for under $40.

Was looking to switch the engine bay on my Z a bit, but like everyone has mentioned , the engine bay dress up kits are INSANELY priced..
For screws and washers?? Over $200? F THAT PUTO. Hahah

So decided to do this on my $50 budget.

I don't like to order stuff and having to wait , so just went down to the local hardware store and just picked up everything that's mentioned on the write up here.. Great write up by the way!

So all in all with the paint and sandpaper it came out to like $35.

Came out good.
