Thanks, CustomG. What do you mean by 'on driver'? I did just read a thread about a swap of one into an M/T 350z. Not sure if there would be a difference though with an A/T?

my 06 5AT G has 3.5 stock, so not all AT diffs are 3.3 you could get lucky and find one with 3.5 and not have to get a MT diff.

check the 2006 and 2007 g35 service manual.

2005 has them seperate into 3.3 for auto and 3.5 for manual

2006,7 has them combined 3.5 for all.

that would have to be a typo, all auto's have 3.3, all manuals have 3.5.

a typo in two years of the service manual?

I mean I thought that too but really??

someone in a 6MT tell me what there Revs are when driving 80, mines like 3.4k. At 75 it's at 3.2k in 5th gear

**I just downloaded a 2006 g35c service manual from a different source and it looked the same.**

^^^ I was unaware that any pre 07 AT were not 3.3... strange that you are 3200rpm @ 80 though - I'm 3200-3250 with 3.7

well with 7 gears your last gear is smaller than my last gear (5th vs 7th) so even when combined with 3.7 your revs will be lower in that last gear.

I guess I need to figure out what other 5AT owners are running at RPM wise.

I am 5AT (replaced OEM 3.3 with 3.692)... 80 when I had 3.3 was 3Krpm

yeah it is odd... 3400 @ 80 seems quite high... higher than most 5AT that do 3.5 swap... here's a reference link to show what several others rpm is:

you are under sized at 275/35/18. i'm running 265/40/18 with 3.7 gears on my 5at and my speedometer is off by 5mph exactly. at 80 i'm actually only doing 75mph.

I data logged in cipher and my RPM's were at 3200 at 80 not 3400 as my gauge cluster showed. still within the range of 3.5 gears
