Default Z1 motorsports vs top speed headers

im stuck between the 2 if there are any owners out there with them on their car please let me know how satisfied you are with them and how the welds are and quality.

Ive been doing research and apperantly no body or very very few people have the Z1, the top speed never heard of them and dont know if the quality is better.

Thanks ahead.

I personally go to TopSpeed occasionally, They are great people. I say go with their headers. Contact them directly and ask to speak with George and say Peter sent you. I am planning to get their headers for myself once i save a bit more for the osiris tune. I have their Test pipes pair up with my hks hi power...i have lug nuts from them..shorty antenna..they are all holding up great so far lol...if that helps.http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001535057084

My experience with TopSpeed sucked... I ordered a brand new exhaust and it came with holes in the welds, and the sh1ttiest fitment ever. You'd probably be better off going with Z1.

just my .02

Yeah my fitment was horrible too. I didn't have holes in the welds, but the holes for the bolts were different sizes and I had to drill them out.

Here is an idea.

Save your money, do every bolt-on and tune it and dont ever miss not having done this mod.

You have to understand how companies like top speed operate. When a major well known manufacturer builds an exhaust for example. They sign a contract with an overseas manufacturer. Let's say Invidia exhaust want to buy 500 sets. The manufacturer then makes 1000 of them because of quality and testing. Then they give Invidia the 500 that meet or exceed the quality.

Now companies like top speed buy the other 500. But you do not know how many of the 500 is as good as the Invidia and how many fall short that did not pass inspection like holes in weld. A little crooked, smaller flang hole etc..

So do the research. Find out ware stuff is made. You will be amazed at what you can get for FRACTION of the price because it doant have the name brand on it. You can argue that the quality is not as good. But you do not know either if the quality was good also to be stamped with the name brand.

I wrote my collage paper on this and I diged way deeper and you will be surprised what happens in this market

^I don't mean to be a grammar weiner, but which college let you get away with things like "diged deeper".

It just sounds funny to see fancy college boy mis-spelling the incorrect past tense!

You have a good point, though, and I'd be putting more friendly smilies in here if the mobile site let me... I hope you can laugh at yourself a bit on this one!

Top Speed headers I bought were absolute junk. With that said, Ill give them to you for $100 and you pay shipping. BNIB, only test fitted once before I decided Momentum was the way to go.

I have Top Speed headers on my 2004 Z since 2005. I bought them as part of a 'deal' on 350ztech.com .. been on the car for 14 years and have never had an issue.
