R&D Factory Valve cover Gasket Set
We here at R&D Factory service many Nissans and Infinities daily and run into same valve cover/spark plug o-ring leak. About 75% of the vehicles that we serve have same problems. Even though its money out of customers pocket after spending so much money on these valve covers we were thinking there has to be a way to cut the cost so here we are. R&D has come out the kit will come with both driver and passenger side valve cover gasket, six o-ring gasket and a simple instruction how to replace them. We will be also offering ready to install kit for $150.00 + $100 for the cores. we will ship you two valve covers(one of each driver and passenger side) with new valve cover gasket and o-rings installed. $100 core charge will be refunded as soon as you send in your covers to us. your warranty should and will cover leaking valve cover o-rings grommets. we do advise you to check for leak before your warranty is over.... the whole idea of us making these o-rings grommets were for those who have leaking o-rings grommets yet their warranty is already over. we do drill out the old o-ring grommets with hole saw size 1 7/8 inch. its is slightly bigger than the existing hole and slightly smaller than the o-ring....please pm us if you have any further questions....thank you
1.$60 for 6 o-rings
2.$90 to add OEM valve cover gaskets (both side)
3.$100 to add OEM pcv valve and seal
*above prices are shipped to lower 48 states.....
Here is a DIY Instructions on how to replace the OEM seals on your Nissan VQ engine.
1- THIS IS A SIMPLE HOLE SAW (SIZE 1 7/8 INCH) THAT YOU CAN BUY FROM MOST HARDWARE STORE. WE GOT OURS FROM ACE HARDWARE AND IT WAS $7-11
2- THIS IS HOW YOUR VALVE COVER LOOKS WHEN YOU TAKE IT OFF OF YOUR ENGINE
NOTE PICTURE SHOWN MOST LEFT SPARK PLUG HOLE DRILLED.
3- WARNING “PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE BAFFLE PLATE” WARNING
4- POSITION THE HOLE-SAW CONCENTRIC TO SPARKPLUG HOLE AND DRILL BAFFLE PLATE SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY.
5- YOU WILL ONLY NEED TO DRILL JUST ENOUGH TO DRILL THROUGH THE BAFFLE PLATE (WE CLEANED UP ALL THE DEBRIS TO SHOW YOU CLEAR PICTURE
DRILL ALL 6 POSITIONS AND CLEAN OFF DEBRIS WHEN DONE.
6- NOW YOU WILL BE ABLE TO POP OUT THE OLD O-RING GROMMET OUT OF THE VALVE COVER. PLEASE REPEAT 6 TIMES.
7- THIS IS WHAT IT WOULD LOOK LIKE WITH THE O-RING GROMMET OUT
8- USE BLACK RTV SILICONE ON TOP SIDE OF THE NEW O-RING GROMMET (WE USED CLEAR ON OUR DEMO PICTURE SO YOU CAN SEE BETTER)
9- PLACE THE NEW O-RING GASKET IN TO THE HOLE. NOW YOU ARE READY TO RE-INSTALL YOUR VALVE COVER GASKET TO YOUR ENGINE.

I'm going to need to do this once the weather warms up. Can you explain your first post better? I don't get the ready to install kit at 150 + 100 core and then at the bottom, you have some other prices.
Oh, and price shipped to 60614.

he is saying 150+100 core and they send you valve covers that have already had the seals done for you. the prices below that are for if u want to buy the seal and do it yourself thats why he mentioned the part about the instructions, just trying to help.

Yeah, that makes sense. Sorry, it was 5 AM and I guess my brain wasn't working.
So I'm guessing if we just order the parts, we'd have to bore out the grommets (i.e., not plug and play)?

So the O-Rings aren't factory correct? We would need to buy replacements from R&D should we ever need them correct?
When using the holesaw to enlarge the hole is it pretty precise? Not the type of thing were you are hooped if your off a mm or two?
