yeah i dont really have a visual idea of what is going on haha. im gunna go check it out right now. joe post pix if youre liftin it

EDIT* ok so i just peeped under there. It looks like that breaker bar or whatever is the same thing that is behind the front bumper of the car in the real. The giant aluminum bar. But mine has these two plastic strips of plastic that point down towards the ground which are screwed into the bar. They seem to have no purpose. Anyone know what that is?

I didn't use screws on mine. The 2 white tabs line up perfectly with the holes in the alu bar, you just need the right size bolt, put it through the whit tabs & into the bar & tighten, then theres no need to put screws in the bumper

ian so you're sayin to drill the holes in the bumper where it matches with the white tabs then?

No. The white tabs already have holes in them as does the metal bar. I will take some photos of it tomorrow.

If you remove the 2 poppers & leave the white tabs in the bumper, then fold the bumper up and it matches with the 2 holes on the other side of the metal box

Has anyone just cut the rear bumper rather than fold it? It seems like the lower part would get messed up anyway if you would ever decide to put it back down. Just curious because we used a dremel on my buddies rear bumper of his miata and it turned out really well.

I can't cut straight for ****, that's why I tucked mine under... you can drill whatever, cut it, heat it.... it doesn't matter, it's not like you'll ever be able to drop it back down again...

OK, not great pics - its surprising how hard it is to get under the back of a lowered Z, but you should get the idea of how to do it.

Just behind the black tab there is a 2nd hole this is where you need to fit the bolt

Thinking about doing this to show off my fast intentions exhasut but don't know if i'll like it because although im flush im not as low as other memebrs. You guys think i'll look funny? And if you do it and do not like it can you fold it back down within a minute of doing it without their being any damage?

Does anyone have any photos of this mod with a stillen or bassani exhaust. The tuck looks AWESOME with an HKS True Dual exhaust and similar. I'm curious what it looks like with Stillen type exhaust, which has more of an OEM look..

So i tried the method IAN recommended and that balck strip is located a little higher up on my car 2007. It seems mine was more flimsy as well as it jsut snapped off and so did the other side. I just went and drilled two holes into that aluminum bar and i think it came out pretty good. First pic is from a normal standing angle. Second one is me squatting down. BTW exhaust is Fast Intentions Intimidator.

I did this with the stock exhaust and everybody wanted to know what type of exhaust the car had on it.

Best/cheapest mod...

Any pics wth the tuck and the stock exhaust. Also has anyone had problems with the paint starting to crack at the bend. Seems like the paint would start to crack after a while.
