Evo-R.net obviously spent a good ammount of money to get real CF stuff so I understand the price. But if we all went by your philosophy (that the price of a car makes the price of aftermarket parts) then the aftermarket world would not survive. People price parts by the cost to make that part, if what you were saying was the case, then with the z's aftermarket sales so high, wouldnt companies be charging thousands for things instead of hundreds?
Pricing is determined by the market. If people will buy a part at such-and-such a price, then the price is justified. Vendors sell based on supply and demand. If people will purchase their stuff, they're going to try and maximize profits, so the price goes up as high as they can make it and still sell at the volume they want. There's nothing fair or unfair about it. If these guys can get the money for their door sill plates then good for them. The price comes down when people stop buying.

I think you're a bit confused about some basic economics. The vendors want to make money (profit) and cost is only one factor involved in determining the amount of profit. The end price to the consumer is based on the market. Companies don't charge thousands for products instead of hundreds because no one would buy at those prices.

Next time, would you please ask permission? (I'm totally cool with it and I'm really flattered, anyway) I'm just a control freak and I appreciate it when people ask me for stuff first. That's all.

I didn't mean to put you down or anything. I just wanted to be fair to the vendors. They're out to make a buck and I'm totally cool with that. That being said, however, its just as cool for you to complain if you're not happy with the price!

I was thinking about getting the Z emblem, actually. lol

Thanks for the compliments...

(BTW, the first two pics are Nissan photos. I have new photos of my own going up soon)

Only 'problem' I can see and it may just be the picture is that the weave looks uneven.

I LOVE the look of these REPLACEMENTS and for $229 for a CF product of that size is NOT bad at all. Look at the dash kits that go for $600+ CF is not cheap and alot of people forget that.

An old saying that I've always lived by:

"if you don't have the bones to ante up, then leave the table."

no sense in getting all sweaty over a price, but if you must then yer entitled to your opinion, but then you must also expect that OTHERS are entitled to theirs (without having to tell them that they talk like POS's) Chill and just leave. Simple as that.

That looks really good on SB. I don't know about my CS, though. I really do think it looks nice on the black...

FYI:

Central 20's can be found for $269.99 here

Maybe for even less if you do some searching.

They look pretty good installed.

(shouldn't this thread be in the Vendor Classifieds?)

Humm... Central 20's door sill is just a cover over the original door sill. If you have the metal brush door sill, central 20 will not fit. Our vendor Intense Motorsports have ours for only $199. Compare with 269.99 there is alot of difference for a full replacement and a cover. This thread was tend to show how EVO-R CF door sill looks like installed. Here is a picture of Central 20 door sill.

Default imho

me I like the evo replacement with the inlaid Z. Just cleaner looking, and cheaper but I' probably like it at the same price or a bit more even.

Full replacement or cover piece - it's a cosmetic application anyway. People who buy either one I would think are going for a 'look'. Granted, if someone bought their Z with the brushed aluminum sills as an option, and if what you say is correct (in that the Central 20 piece will not it over these aluminum sills) then they could be screwed trying to install these over them. I don't know this to be a fact though.

Since this thread's purpose was to show the EVO-R sill installed, here is a pic of the Central 20 installed.

If someone is shopping for CF door sills at the lowest price, yours wins. If they are shopping for a certain look, well, maybe they will want to pay more if they like the different look.

It's all good when the consumer has choices.

Central20 doesn't have the 3 dot insignia.

POOEY

and the CF weave on the Central20 piece doesn't look as nice as the EVO-R piece.
