Default Removing the steering wheel brushed aluminum inserts

I want to cover the steering wheel brushed aluminum inserts at 3 oclock and 9 oclock to cover them with a carbon fibre vinyl any suggestions of how they come out please right hand one has the 3 oblong button controls in

i think there is a screw in each one on the backside

Its a pain and you have to take the back plastic cover for the steering wheel off to get to the last screw. Just heat the vinyl thoroughly and use a crevice tool to get everything in where you need it.

I created a DIY guide for installing CC on a base model. But the procedure also covers, in detail, how to remove the steering wheel and remove/replace the brushed aluminum covers.

Hey guys,

You don't have to do anything. I take them off when I'm bored with the look. Just pluck them off. They are held together with 4 plastic tabs behind them. Having said this, be careful, the tabs may snap:
