Look At My New Door Handle Finish
Just got these back from The Car Wizard, Norman, OK. Very happy with the result. Can't remember the name of the primary design (composite?), but I elected to get kind of the micro composite with flat clear coat.
The way they apply the cover is really something. The finish is cut from a roll then laid flat on the surface of lukewarm water. It is then sprayed with an "activator". Then the piece is put down in the water against the very pliable material and it binds to the plastic. Then it is pulled out of the water. It is dried then clear coats applied.
They do a lot of camiflage on truck parts too, and wheels. Went there first to get a door ding out, they did a great job with it, then he showed my the process on some truck grill parts.
What do you think?
