Some ATF Changing Questions
Hi all,
I just got a 2007 350Z with an A/T. She has 75K miles on her. It has had 3 previous owners and I don't know what has and has not been changed or how hard it's been driven. So I would like to do a full fluid change of everything to start a new baseline. I am pretty much set for Diff Oil, Engine Oil, and Engine Coolant, but I have a few questions on the ATF change.
I have done some searching on the forum and googling around. From what I understand there is a standard drain plug on the bottom of the trans pan and then there is a dip stick bolted somewhere behind the passenger side of the engine. I would assume that I can use this as a fill port.
I was wondering if there were any DIY guides with pictures. I didn't seem to find any with pics that is.
Also are all the A/Ts the same between years on the 350Z? If they are not are there any major differences to a drain and fill procedure?
I was planning on using Amsoil Signature Series Fuel-Efficient Synthetic ATF and doing a drain and fill. This seems easy enough, drain it and fill it with the same amount that came out. But this would also be mixing fluids with what is still in there by not doing an actual flush. I am assuming it is stock Matic-S original fluid that has never been changed. Though I don't know that. Would it be ok to do this or should it be flushed?
I found the flush steps at
http://www.**********.com/wiki/index...id_Replacement
Was wondering if there is any guides with pictures or videos of this. I'm not sure if I want to attempt this myself.
What are your guys recommendations?
Thanks

I wouldn't do a complete flush I usually do about 4qts which is what normally comes out when you drain it and then after driving 1,000 miles I drain it again I do this 3 times this is just my method
