I'm amazed that the dumb a$$'s haven't come out of the wood work, because of what you did. Ignorance is abundant on this site, and stupidity is a close 2nd.

Did you notice a power loss after you deleted the resonator?
I been doing some searching and noticed that people are saying that it completely killed the back pressure in turn reducing power.

I can't say for sure if I felt anything...
My buttdyno can't calculate the minor change it would have on a car...
I dyno'd the car with this mod and K&N filters to produce 264.5whp 234.7wtq on a dynopack. So I'm safe to stay that it didn't hurt much. I'm going to get a dyno of my new test pipes and y-pipe tomorrow...
All in all still a great mod for those who don't or not going to mod there Nismo's as fast as others. As much as some of you think this is loud or even raspy it's not...compared to stock maybe, but to any aftermarket exhaust this mod is ultra mild when it comes to exhaust note. For comparison while at WOT the cars sounds great in the cabin and to those within a block radius. While a G or Z car with a full motordyne exhaust from headers back can be heard for blocks on end in a great way...
So I'm really crossing my fingers on the test pipes/y-pipe freeing up power. While keeping the stock muffler keeps the VQ exhaust note just heighten!

Yup,
I'm going to try and remove the last heat shield and tighten up the exhaust in hopes that helps...
if not going to go get raped at our local Exhaust Sytems Hawaii shop...

ahh the infamous rattlesnake in the exshaust, i just swapped all my single out for true dual what a world of difference, i agree with you guys though cheap and easy mods that get small amounts of power is amazing but for the amount you spend on y-pipe test pipes and everything else you can get a true dual setup.
