Default my little build

well as some of you know i have started my build on my 2006 Z...so i figured id do a little thread with some pics of the build as i move threw it

so far its been a little crazy with trying to get time from work and getting shop space at Performance Exhaust in Pacific...(my roommate and I are doing everything after hrs)

but i have been slowly making progress...

i have:
-brand new motor (1000ish miles on it now)
-comp. stage 4 clutch and flywheel
-Defi guages (EGT, BOOST)
-AEM EUGO wideband
-APS single turbo kit
-NISMO LSD

here are some of the parts and install pics

clutch and flywheel (competition stage 4 from Forged Performance)

HKS type 1 turbo timer

NISMO LSD

APS single turbo kit

guages

guages install (not to many pics)

now on to the clutch install!

always have to start a project with a cold beer

disconnecting the plugs, starter, and clutch lines

driveshaft off

take out shifter

exhaust off

take out all the bolts

i made a little diagram so i didnt forget where the bolts go haha

hook up jack and lower her down!

look how CLEAN (gotta love brand new stuff!)

removed clutch and flywheel (look at the heat spots haha..it was pretty bad)

we used a gear puller for getting the throwout bearing off

putting the flywheel on

and this is where we snapped the flywheel bolt off...so now im at a stand still till i can get some flywheel bolts..i just talked to nissan and they said the soonest they can get it would be thursday....so pretty much i have no car/life till then haha...

anyone have any spares????

haha yea im deff. down for a few pulls! haha

but yea, i was going off one of the DIY threads on the forum and they said to torq the bolts to 90lbs, back them off, add red locktight, then go to 93lbs....yea we coudent even get past 70 before they snapped....

so when we get the new bolts we are going to just put them at 60lbs...

looks good!

how the heck did you snap that bolt? it is grade 8 and could hold about 400lbs tq! think nissan recommends 90lbs. toss some locktite red on them for insurance though.

No you don't. They're useless.

Well, unless you want to put your sunglasses in them. Any kind of beverage in them is destined for the floor.

That's where I put my bluetooth headset and sometimes my phone. It's good for holding just about anything other than cups. The center ones in the console is where it's at.

Interesting Y pipe. Why did you modify it that way? Looks like you moved the Y collector way down there.
