That was initial response when this project was handed to me

Its not a car show and we don't have any booths selling stuff

The first guy I talked to suggested a few spots that were a little run down but to me they make for awesome backdrops to a photo shoot.

Here's my idea for TI. Meet there and chill for an hour or two. Since there's gonna be women with us and no restroom and restaurants, I suggest we bounce when the time is right and head out for lunch or some place to eat. And then afterwards, go to Alameda Naval Base to hang out and do another photoshoot. At least there, no permits are needed and lots of huge areas to park and of course, a nice backdrop of the water and those massive ships.

Just my

So many people are signed up for this, it can't be canceled. We've all been looking forward to it for quit a while now. Screw permits, what's the worst they can do? Ask us to leave?

Starting @ $500. The funny thing is that the spot for $500 has a BBQ pit, picnic benches, trees, a view and parking. All the other places lacked everything except parking.

$500 isn't that bad. it's about $10 per person. the good thing is that we can chill there all day. if we decide to go elsewhere for food, it's hard to accommodate 50 cars and (+) or (-) 100 people assuming everyone is going.

Parking lot can accommodate about 100 cars. We would need to rent a porta potty since there are no bathrooms. We would also need to collect before the event to RSV the spot.

The spot is not rented through TI it is through a company called Valley Wine. If there is enough interest I can call them and see if it is still available. It would have to be a potluck style BBQ. The pit is bad *** though

Ok guys we need your input and ideas. Here's a more specific possible spots
in TI. Take note, all these places don't have restrooms and foodstands.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Y (purple) - reserved for a corporate event that same day
X (red) - the spot we're aiming for
A (yellow) - alternate spot (not sure if included in the reserved area)
B (blue) - not too far from the water but it looks like its available
C (white) - another alternate spot on the other side of the island, area is half-paved
D (black) - middle of the island, not much good view but plenty of parking

Okay, here's my .02 worth.
1. Plan time to meet at T.I. 10:00-10:30am as a suggestion.
2. Caravans make own plans to be there at a set time.
3. Depart at approx. 12:30-1:00pm to a location for lunch. (Otherwards have a couple
hours of relaxing and conversing among each other). (And of course photo shooting - Right Ed?....l0l
Plan on a restaurant that will handle us with a large parking lot and seating area. Somebody will have to check on that.
(As note, in the previous years we met at ZCarGarage and than joined up with
others for lunch at Robins?? Can't remember the whole name. After eating lunch there, then we headed to T.I. the rest of
the day)

Note: There were sponsors and raffles each year then. But as it's so close, we could just all go to T.I. this way without any reservations than, and it's a free world so, just go to the large parking lot, as we had 190 cars on the second to the last meet we did there, so there should be plenty of room.

I figure this way, the restroom problem will be minimized if needed at all, photos shots made by the we know who and anybody else interested we talk, check out each others cars, enjoy company and then continue at the restaurant of choice that is selected. This way the biggest thing left to do is pick the location for lunch and then continue our conversing among each other.

Hope this helps out.
Warren

Could anyone call one of those burrito vans? That might be easier than going out for lunch and finding parking again?

This sounds good to me... Red Robins at San Mateo should hold it for us. Let's talk with management and see if they can do anything for us regarding parking. We'll be bringing people afterwards.
