Why would anyone call a 350z a Fairlady Z? Lame.

However, the G35's that are sold here are all badged as 'Skylines' as well. Could be a JDM thing.

See all these people, they think it's cool too, as well as MY headlights. They even asked me for a card so they can get it done as well.

it's cool. like i said it's just personal preference. for me personally i was dissapointed that nissan just used the g for the skyline in japan and have taken that name away from the gt-r. it's like killing history. but whatever floats their boat i guess.

But hey, each his own.... and yes, this "floats my boat".
My crew likes it too.... and they aslo either de-badge or re-label it Skyline.... cuz it's the same frikin' car.
Just my 2 cents.

the skyline was originally made by Prince in the 70's who were eventually bought by nissan. the skyline has been offered as a four door and two door for a long time. it was a family car. only recently (early 90's) came the r32 skyline which was more of a sports car. from then on (r32, r33, r34) the gt-r represented the top of the line skyline. it's like a trim level. but after the r34, since they didn't have an r35 yet, they used the g coupe and sedan as the skyline in japan and other countries. this was known as the v35. there was no gt-r level offered for this model. now they have the new gt-r. but it is now separate from the skyline model range which will continue to use the g coupe and sedan as we know them here. so the new gt-r is not a skyline and the new skylines won't offer a gt-r trim. as far as the new gt-r though, i've heard it reffered to as the r35 and as the r36. but that i don't know for sure. hope this clarifies things

I can understand your reasoning if he put a GTR label on it, but he didn't. Truth of the matter is the car is a Nissan Skyline no matter which way you slice it. DO you get mad when Acura NSX guys badge their car as a honda? It can't be a honda b/c it's not right hand drive...dam what were they thinking.

why are you guys getting mad? i said i wouldnt label my g35 (if i had one) a skyline. but if you like it good for you. it is your car. we bash on rsx's all the time but people actually do like it, that's why they buy them. however i still think the scanners are rice. if your opinion differs, so be it. remember it's your car not mine.
