Allright guys. The summer is here (at least in LA ;p) and we need to get this Hearst Castle thing planned out so we can get a good number of people outt for it. Now for those of you who dont really know, were gonna try to do like 2-3 really big meets for the entire summer, that being a duration from o early June - early September.

Right now were planning on doing and were hoping to get 1 big Norcal/Socal meets up meet, another big Socal meet/cruise to Santa Barbara like last year, and then another good Ultimate Socal Meet in like SD or something. This will allow the people from SD to cruise down 1nce to LAish area, and 1 meet for the LA'ers to go down to the San Diegans place, itll give everyone a chance to meet new people as well cuz i know lots of meets take place in LA and we dont really get to meet the SD'ers very often So hopefully this will make things a little more group spirited. But these other cruises will have their own separate thread, this thread is to be dedicated to the Hearst Castle cruise/meet.

Info Regarding the Hearst Castle Cruise

Now for those of you who are new. These big meets usually start with a really early time meetup, say 7am-ish in LA for the big cruise to the halfway point where we can meet the Norcal lamos hehe. jk norcal guys . Now oftentimes caravans are started to the place we choose to meet in LA (coming from the 909. Irvine. all sorts of places so dont hesitate to post up an area caravan thread or go to one. Oftentimes they are a really good chance to meet your very immediate Z owner friends). Usually these guys will meet up around 6.30ish or whatever time needs to be chosen to get to the main meeting spot.

And from the main meeting spot in L.A we will start the departure around 8-ish or something. From there we will cruise all the way to Hearst Castle together. The route has yet to be determined but will be decided upon soon and posted up for your guy's comments.

When we get to Hearst Castle we will then meet the Norcal guys and have a full blown meet. Im imagining ALLOT of people will be there, so there will be many many Zs showing up for everyone to look @ . Then from there well probably meet for a while, iono if we can eat there, but we will find out about that also. If we can eat then well all sit down and eat and chill. From there we will have a general leaving time for people who wanna cruise back in a big group etc. Other people may choose to cruise back at different times but I expect everyones pretty much gonna commit their entire day to this cruise so most likely we will all be cruising back in a big fat group, etc. Some may choose to stay overnight at friends (like i might crash @ Ravi's ), but mostly everyone will make it a 1 day thing.

For those of you who are new again. If you havent been to a meet, COME OUT! they are tons of fun and I know there are tons of people who will come. If your scared cuz you have a stock Z, or your not heavily modded or something lame like that, come out. Every single meet I have ever been to there are tons of other stock Z owners, its just fun to meet friends, talk about Zs/cars, and have fun looking. There are allot of cool people on here and its said but i know for some of us (like me ), the majority of our friends live on this site! lol. So come out!

As for what you need. Itll probably be something like enought for a full days gas, money for food, most likely 20 max or so. Allot of us also like to have FRS radios so we can chat while driving on the cruise. We will also have people positioned in the cruise on a separate channel making sure nobody gets lost/left behind. So feel free to bring one of those if u have one .

All right, so heres whats up with the Poll. We need you guys to vote for which month is the best for you. And please, try to commit yourself to your vote. I know this can be hard but we need to maximize odds so you guys understand. So heres what you do. You post in the thread with whether or not you want to go, type the month thats best for you next to your name, and vote additionally in the poll. (so its easy for us to look at/countds ) And thats it. Im going to give this to Ravi to start over in the NorCal thread and he will organize that over there while me and Ed718 will be in charge of the socal. So if you have any questions, pm either Myself, ed (ed718), or Ravi (GQ 350z).

What kind of drive time are we looking at from nor cal?

 

Well, I think that if you guys leave in the morning and drive down like 3 hours, we should be able to meet up around noon at Hearst Castle. If you chill a couple of hours, I'm guessing you should be able to make it back by around 5:00. If you're worried about not getting back, you can always leave the meet early!

Well, I dont't think June 17 would work since its too close, plus I know a lot of UC's are graduating during that weekend. Other date is probably cool. I guess we can re-vote hahaha

BTW, you're planning the Norcal portion, so you get to make the rules on meeting time/place! LOL...just coordinate with Bryan so we end up at Hearst Castle at the same time.
