even if the bolt comes off/out, there is still that little piece of metal it goes into. this was never a problem on vw cause instead of a bolt, they just used a screw which sat flush with the rotor.
If only we could get people to read this thread just once....

no....if you dont pull it out, you're gonna be stuck with stock wheels for a while.
You'll be fine. Just take the bolt out. Since the Z comes with a staggered setup, the bolt is there to keep people from bolting on the front wheels to the rear.
Post some pix when there on...
Geez guys, I know it was a noob question, I know he probably could have searched to find it, but give the poor guy a break. Post a link and call it a day.

This is very important bolt for your front brake. You need these two bolts. You should bring your car to welding shop and have them weld the bolts to brake rotors and sand it down. This will clear the rims.
Good luck
Good luck
Don't listen to these guys! Leave the bolt there or else your rotor will come off. Your brand new rims won't fit so you need to give them to me. Please PM me so I can give you my shipping address. I'll even pay for shipping. I'm just trying to be a nice samaritan here.
