You forgot Auto Club Speedway on Nov. 17th and 18th! Why do you hate it there?!

Drivable, but still has more work. Finished the undertray a few minutes ago, will start working on a splitter this weekend. Also have a wideband and oil temp gauge to mount. Once the wideband is in place, doing some minor street tuning with my Cobb accessport

Where are you mounting yours? mine are in my cubby but im thinking of mounting them more in plain view - on the steering wheel area or something. oil/water temp for me.

I Love Auto Club. The speeds you can hit there are awesome and it is the closest track to home for me since I'm down in San Diego.

Closer then chuckwalla?

Don't get me wrong the oval looks fun but the infield not so much, I could be wrong because I've never actually been there.

Cubby, its high enough to see without having to really look away from the track. The same as the other OEM gauges are. I have had gauges mounted in veiw and i still didn't notice themm while driving.

Its actually a really fun track , really hard on brakes.

Chuckwalla is out there a bit.

Well give it a try then. The oval is fun because you kinda have to dare yourself to not lift at all going in and all the way through it if you can get that down then you can catch a lot of people there. Turns 7-8 is a chicane that you can hold it wide open through 100+ mph and then get really hard on the brakes and get as far left without dropping a wheel off the track to set up for turn 9.

Never been to Chuckwalla but I think it takes about an hour longer to get there then ACS does for me.

Kinda like not lifting going into turn 8 at Willow.

I actually pull 6th gear thru 1/2 at Autoclub

A lot of you guys show up to these track days? I've been meaning to go to something of the like, but have no clue on getting started, don't personally know anyone who tracks regularly either. Figure I could join one of your groups and just learn.

I try to go as often as I can afford which unfortunately is not very often probably about 6 times a year. Speedventures.com and extremespeedtrackevents.com are your two best places to find track events here in socal. If you can make it to the event on November 4th at Streets of Willow you should come because a few of us will be there and its a smaller track that is really good for first timers because the speeds are a lil slower then some of the other tracks around SoCal.

+1 to what WetDreamZZZ said. I've gone about 5 times this year (so, 5 times total). Will probably do one more in November at Fontana. I also started at Streets of Willow.

Another good group is Shift S3ctor (www.shift-s3ctor.com). They have a lower driver cap, so it'll cost you a little more, but they seem to do better events, in my opinion. They've had track/drift all in one (for only $150!) and plan to do more in the future.

Just go, you'll meet people that track regularly and become friends with them and boom you have friends that track. You should come tomorrow.

I just don't want to be the random noob to show up and don't know anyone lol, gotta get started somewhere. I won't be able to go to any of those this month, but November 4th doesn sound like I can work with since it a smaller beginners track and some of you guys are going.
