Speed district. Last I checked only around 15 drivers going tomorrow, pretty much lap the track as much as you want.

 

Buttonwillow today was a blast.

Hell ya , cruise on out and have fun. I started this addiction 5 years ago, I just showed up to a local PCA trackway, now I have friends everywhere.

So far, me and pro_350z are cruising down from Vegas. I'll shoot zazz93 an email, he will probably be down to join (SoCal driver) the event will also get posted on CarCrack soon, great app for us IPhone users.

 

The 4th it is then! Ill just squeeze on in what you guys are doing, borrow a helmet from my buddy as well too. On top of the track been out of the Z community for a long time, so it's be nice to meet some enthusiasts again.

 

You guys should also come to Buttonwillow in December too

 

Damn, I just checked my front tires and they are bald. I guess I won't be running on the 4th, but ill still go to spectate and meet you guys.

 

Buy tires then , even better , how bald? I run the track all the time on tires with less than 1/32 of tread.

 

hmmm.... I'll have to see about that one. K.R.O.P.S is having an event at Big Willow in December and I have already committed to that.

 

Camber wear on the inside, hitting the wear bars already on the outside. Post a pic of it when I get the chance.

 

I'm at a little under 3/32 and I was thinking of putting my new RS3 on. I guess that can wait one or two more track days

 

I have some brand new RS3 that I could sell if you're on 18" wheels, they have 1412 stamp too.

 

I'll try to attend some track days in Nov.

 

Thanks for the offer, but I'm on Rays Nismos lol. So I'd be running RS3s in the front and V12s in the rear lol. I could swap it around but with how bald the corner is, I doubt ill have any cornering grip.

 

Tires don't use tread for traction on the track, they use heat.

 

See how much of a noob I am when it comes to tracking lol, if thats the case, my fronts are good to go still! Always thought tread depth played a big role for traction.

 

^ SOW is a small track anyways, you'll be fine.

 

Anything else I need to do? Checked wheels and tires, break pads seem to be in good shape. Using Hawk HPS pads, about to do an oil change in a bit, all the hubs are fine as well. Only issue on mine, is the passenger front camber is off by a little bit is what I'm told last time I got an alignment from Precision Z.

 

Your first time out you don't need anything but a helmet and gas and car lol
