Have a 2005 35th Anniversary Edition (has the Brembos) and was considering picking up the following suspension kit:

I was also wanting to pick up a new set of 19-inch Work Meister S1R's. For tires I'd love to be able to run 255s in front and 285s in the rear. With that suspension kit (specs say to expect a 1.2" drop in front and also in back), what would be a good size for the wheels? 9 or 9.5 front? 10 or 10.5 rear? What kind of offsets? And would I have any problems with rubbing?

9.5 front, 10.5 rear are the more common widths with tire sizes of 255/35/19 and 285/35/19. Offset from +15 to +25 would fit nicely although as offset approaches +15 you will start rubbing unless you roll the fenders. At +25 you might not rub, but it also won't be as flush as you might like.

Recently picked up a 2009 350z roadster. The 19" wheels on it are Infiniti 10-spoke wheels from a G37, I believe. Definitely a staggered set and I'm assuming they are the OEM 8.5 and 9" set. Unsure of offset at this point. Tires are Continental 235/45r19 fronts and 255/40r19 rears. Rears don't look bad but wishing the fronts were a little wider. Any advice for a noob?

Let me clarify...I'm wondering how to make the front tires/wheels a bit wider to fill the fenders better. Looks like the OEM wheels are +43 and +45. I don't know anything about spacers. Would they help my situation?

they are 30 and 33 if they are oem. it would be best to get proper wheels imho

edit, just read they are g wheels. you could do a small 10mm or so spacer up front

Reading up on spacers now, thx. Looks like longer wheel studs is recommended. What's the widest tire I can mount on a 8.5" wheel?

255 and smaller is ideal, you could get away with 265 with some bulge.. 275 will fit but hinder performance.

I have 18x9.5 +15 RPF1s with -2.2° camber.
245 45 18 but I want to go wider up front, not worried about the rear as I have them rolled already.

Can I go 265/35 without much work? Im lowered about 2"s on coilovers and I dont want to raise the car much.

Probably fit better than the 245/45s unless thats a typo and you meant 245/40...

I don't think you would have problems with 265/35s

The 265/35 fit, you just need like .2 degree extra camber added from a stock with an aftermarket arm, or slightly pull the fender by hand

I own a 2003 2jz swapped 350z and the stock wheels and tired are not wide enough I was wondering what the widest wheels and tires I could get would be? The previous owner put lowering Springs on the car which brought it down 1" I will be getting coilovers eventually

On a 1" drop, no other mods (roll, pull, etc.), about 9.5/10.5 F-R with modest offsets in the 20-25mm range. (Maybe down to +15mm)

18's: 255/40 and 275 (maybe 285/40)

19s: 255/35 and 275/35

I run the latter with absolutely zero clearance issues on -19mm lowering.

I have those exact sizes on my 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 wheels so I would think he could definitely go wider if he has an extra inch of wheel

Won't matter much. unless really stretched or too much tread for a given wheel, the width of the tire shoulder is still the point at which it will contact the fender lip or suspension (latter is not likely).

Said tire shoulders will still be 255mm and 275mm wide with vary little variation on 8.5 to 9.5 or 9.5 to 10.5. The tread width doesn't compress when mounted. The sidewalls pull in or push out, tread remains relative constant.

What matters more in this equation is offset.

2008 350Z, stock alignment settings for now, stock suspension for now, daily driver and weekend track car. Planning on Enkei RPF1s:

18x9.5 +15
18x10.5 +15

Haven't thought about specific tires/sizes, but likely something in 255-265/275-285 f/r range. Car eventually get coilovers (probably something in the KW line up) and more appropriate alignment settings. From reading sounds like I will definitely need a roll, and seems like street driving with this set up will be okay, more so worried if track driving will be an issue, thanks.

Correct, rear will need a roll. Front will also rub if you go low enough when you get the coilovers. My +15 setup with 255 tires rubbed up front if I hit a bump in the road with the wheels turned at OEM alignment specs.
