Default Stillen Front Splitter - Very Disappointed

i just wanted to share my story of the stillen front splitter, i ordered this and installed it on my car approx one year ago. i know i live in texas and it is FREAKING HOT here, but i was really surprised that the stillen splitter started to warp in the heat. i emailed stillen about it and they requested that i sent them pics of the splitter and the mounting points that i used, well here it is a month later i have yet to hear back from them. although i didnt but it directly from them (bought from concept z) they should still stand behind their products. i am VERY dissastisfied with this and stillen for their obvious very poor customer service after the sale. i would recommend that if you live in a hot state... DO NOT ORDER THIS. for the cost of this i could have almost bought a new bumper, i will be taking this off of my car in the near future and i will never buy another stillen product again. the first picture is from when i first installed it and the others is from when i emailed stillen.

and for their viewing pleasure i sent them this link in an email.......

i dont think the turnbuckles caused it, if you look at the pictures you will see everywhere it is mounted, and then it droops between. i noticed that it does it when it is facing the sun, i got it pretty straight before using a heat gun, a board and a jack, and it stayed that way until yesterday afternoon when i went to a buddies house and when i went on a beer run, it was soft and flexible. my car is always garaged at home and work so it is rarely out in the sun unless i am in it. an hour and half yesterday in 96 degree heat caused it to warp again.

That doesn't look that bad, I would just try to reinforce it with a thin piece of Aluminum

Did you try calling them?

i emailed them and they responded asking for pictures, i got them what they asked for and havent heard back from them since. aluminum wouldnt be bad, but think i might go the fiberglass under it route, would stiffen it enough where it wouldnt flex like that

Call them, ask for Kyle or Josh or PM them through the forum

I would just keep it and reinforce it like I said, not that bad at all

I'm selling mine as soon as I get my Veilside V1. The diffuser is the only Stillen product I haven't been happy with; love the y-pipe and I haven't had any problems with the engine damper.

While that sucks about the warping, you should be talking to Concept Z about it. they were they sold you the product, they took your money so it is them that should be servicing you. They are the dealer so it is them you should be dealing with. For example, when you buy a Nissan and have an issue with it, you go to the dealership you bought it from correct? You don't go directly to Nissan North America to fix your clutch slave cylinder issue would you? If you bought it directly from them, then that's a different story.

Just my two cents.

i see what you are saying, but the dealer is just a middle man. if i took my car to a local nissan shop for warranty service essentially it is nissan paying the dealer for the work. the reason i went straight to stillen is concept z is just a store front, not their product

You might want to post those pictures on Stillen's Facebook page. I'm sure they wouldn't like that. I was having a problem with a Sears product and I couldn't find anyone at Sears who cared. They were simply ignoring me. I went to Facebook and posted pictures on their page and I had an message from Sears within 5 minutes with correct contact information. I then contacted those people and got the problem resolved in a short time. It can't hurt to try Facebook.
