Looks nice -- but I would lose the splash guards.

why did you trade in for another Z? Simply for the color change? Lemon the previous car? Accident? If none of the above reasons, I'm wondering if the depreciation was worth it?

The color was maybe 50% then of course it's an 05 my old one was 03 and an auto, which was fun to drive but i'v always driven manuals so I guess I missed that, well all cars depreciate but my trade in was exactly what I owed on the car so no negative equity and a better intrest rate means lower payment's now you cant get better than that

it seems like no one ever heard of it...
anyways, i think that there's no way to damage the paint by having splashguards.

Splashguards can damage the paint.

I had some on the civic, and the paint was a different color after I took them off.

Also it leaves smudges in the clearcoat that are hard to remove.

Can also leave scratches.

I can indeed vouch for this. After having my Z for about 7000 miles, I removed my splashguards for routine cleaning and noticed some pretty bad marring in the clearcoat underneath the guards. The clear coat damage ended up being pretty substantial. I guess this can be expected........we have a piece of plastic constantly vibrating against the paint finish on our cars. Is it really that surprising ??
