Pics & of Z in Austin

I hope I can get all of these pics up. I don't know how to post them. Can someone help?
But, in case I can't get them up here is my two cents on the details of the car, since some of you haven't seen the car in person.
Once again, this car has amazed me!!
Here are my topics:
1. Leather seats (specifically charcoal)
2. Nav Storage/door
3. Exhaust
4. Tires
5. BOSE Sound sytem
6. Materials
7. Storage Compartments
8. Extra Buttons
9. Rear View mirror
Before I start, I don't think that there is going to be one person that will be dissappointed with asthesics (materials, looks quality, etc...)of the car. Nissan has obviously gone to great lengths to refine the Z, yes even the antenna! As far as the engine and performance is concerned, we will have to wait to judge that.
First and foremost, the good news, I talked to the Mag writer and driver of the Z. He wouldn't give me any concrete HP numbers but he did say that they tested the car at 5.2 to 5.3 seconds. We've all heard so many HP numbers so I won't even go there, so take that for what its worth. Sounds good to me.
Charcoal Leather. The leather seats were absolutely great, very firm and comfotable as you would expect in a sports car. Seats were automatic, the controls for the driver were on the right side instead of by the door and vice versa for the passenger. However, the drivers seat had a front/back and recline feature the passenger's seat only had a front/back automatic and a manual recline located onm the seat by the door. I wish they were all automatic. The charcoal seats did have the orange dots, great contrast and very subtle. However, I did have a concern. I did notice (in the pic) that the holes were the orange dots were had some fiber like material that was coming out of them, NOT GOOD. Look at the bottom of the seat where your back rests and you can see the fibers coming out.
Nav storage/door. The storage compartment was small and about 3 inches deep, not sure what you could store there, cell phone perhaps? The NAV door/cover.. YUK YUK... they really need to fix this one. It definelty feels a little cheap and is difficult to close and is not solid, it twists as you close it. Nissan needs to fix this one. However, as long as it is closed or open you will be fine.
Exhaust, sounds incredible for a stock car, Mag writer said at idle it quieter but once on road it sounds much "louder, deeper and throatier". All I can say is that you will be very happy with the way the exhaust sounds!! It is not obnoxious by any means for you conservative folks.
Tires. The are defintely the RE040 Potenzas or whatever the exact number is. Don't like them!!! Pilots or Pole Positions would have been better.
Upgraded BOSE Sound system, sounded great and loud for stock, however, the bass seems to be pushing it a little. For those of yout that are stereo fanatics, this probably would not satisfy you. I must say that I expected a little more out of that system but it will make me happy enough.
Materials. I must say that my main concerned when I ordered this car back in March was that Nissan was going to use cheap interior materials to bring the price down. Boy, I WAS WRONG! Nissan has done an excellent job with the composition of the materials, especially with the metal/alluminum parts. It is not quite as refined as Audi TT but I must that is extremely close and hard to tell the difference quality wise. The doors were not a hard material but rather a soft padded, leather-like textured. The air vents also did not feel cheap, THANK GOD, in fact they were nice and firm similar to my AMG Merecedes. My favorite vents were the ones on the doors, great job!
Storage compartments. Were located behind the passengers seat and between the drive and passenger. You could defintely fit a backpack/ several CD cases or even a small breif case back there. As far as the trunk, it looks like plenty of room, golf bags obviously not a problem. However, you don't want to take the Z for your once a month grocery shopping list especially those with families, just not enough room for that much cargo.
Extra buttons. I noticed that next to the heated seats (center console) and where the TCS button, there was two empty buttons, don't know what those are for, aftermarket mods maybe or Japanese/Euro versions????
Rear View Mirror/Rear Strut Bar. Now for my only complaint. The rear view is extremely narrow due to the rear strut bar. Actually the entire field of view is limited in the back. I guess once we are more acustomed to the car we will learn to adjust.
Sorry for the long post, but I just wanted to let everyone know that details.
INCREDIBLE CAR!!! That's all I can say. Regardless of color or model we (pre-order folks) are all going to be very very very happy with our new purchase. I know I am!!!

Zmain, thanks for that, very informative. My dad is caught up on the whole two seater of it for me. My reply back to him was, "Im not a taxi." He seemed to agree once I told him that, plus I had to mention on his 79' 280Z, they use to shove me in the back of the car, lying down. Thanks Dad, I love you too!
One thing that is of concern for me is, when I get mine at the end of the year, in December or even January is the price. Do you think it will be the same price as most of you guys that pre-ordered or will it be more expensive? They have advertised the car starting at 26,269 for the base. I just hope they don't jack the price up by December, i'll be a unhappy camper. And its too late for me to pre-order the car isnt it? Wasnt it like June 1st or something? And if it's not too late, would I have to put a down payment on it or could I wait till the car comes out?
Thanks
Magalie ( BECOMING PARANOID THAT I WONT GET IT)

This color reflects the amount of light available. It's beautiful and seems to change with the amount of light.
