Well, I hoped more Z's would have shown, but the weather was crappy. All in all we had 2 Z's (mine, DaKine-Z-) and 8 S2000's and one Z06. It was great meeting those guys, they really had great admiration for the new Z. They were all extremely impressed with the look of the car and the feel of the shifter. Looking forward to getting out to autocross with their group soon! Thanks again to David for inviting us out there.

I loved the yellow...it looked sweet....hmmm maybe Nissan should add this color to the Z's list...

Look how much room they have. This guy had a CAI installed that looks nice. There was another guy there, that had an S2000 with a CompTech Supercharger on it.....I think with some other mod's as well he dyno'ed 300 at the wheels. He didn't bring it, hopefully I can check it out at the next combined meet.

 

The Honda S2000 is an amazing car. Though some sday the interior is to plain, i think i might actually like it more than the Z's. The handling might be a little better, shifts a little easier, and the engine, well thats Subjective, but i happen to love it. But on exterior looks... well the S2000 is a very nice looking car, but the Z KILLS ITTTTT!!!!!! The Z really turns heads. The Z is also much more spacious inside, and larger, which could mean safer, but not neccisarily since we havent seen crash tests on eaither car...

 

Good question....we had one other Z that showed up and he got there after we were already eating, and then missed some of the pics I took later. It was nasty raining so I understand a lot of the folks probably did not want to take their cars out. Most of these S2000 guys/gals have had their cars for a longer period obviously so they don't worry about it as much. Of course I would have liked to seen more Z's out, but that will come with time.

 

You know, I sat in one of the guys S2000, and my first reaction was that I was cramped. The center console is rather large. On the other hand the head room surprisingly seemed better in the S2000. I must admit, I didn't really care for the the interior of the S2000, it just seemed plain. All and all, can't wait to hit some autocrossing with these guys soon.

 

None of my other pictures turned out very well, sigh. I thought this was an interesting shot of your HIDs, though. It was nice meeting you again. I too am really looking forward to the autocross.

 

Oh, and speaking of crash tests, here's a video of an S2000 being crashed. The door could be opened without trouble after the test, so I feel quite safe in the interior. It looks like the frame just flat doesn't deform.

I REALLY wanted it to be done and take it up there and show it off....Im bumed....maybe there will be another event...Geez...this is gonna be the last time im gonna be the first one to do something...hee hee

 

Its funny you posted the pic of my HID's cause we started comparing the lights of the Z and S2000 later in the event. If you notice there is a little bulb on the left side of that pic...if you just turn your parking lights on, that bulb is lit which creates some cool reflections off of the rest of the housing. It spurred some mod ideas for the S2000 guys since they don't have that little bulb in theres..hehe!
