OK guys...I had XM installed in my Z yesterday, and couldn't fit the Terk XM Antenna inside the rear strut housing. There is a new antenna listed on the XM site, called Antenna Specialist XM20 Constellation. It's 14mm thick, so there's a good chance it'll fit inside the strut molding and be completely hidden. I have searched high and low for this antenna, but can't find it anywhere on the net.
Now, can it see thru the plastic of the molding, that's another issue. But this antenna is so cool looking (unlike the Terk one), that I would be willing to paint/clearcoat it and put it on the roof towards the back.
Throw me a bone here...will ya?

I just ordered it from Crutchfield on the phone. The part# is 019XM20CP. It is not listed on their website, but they have it in stock. It is 14mm thck and 4" in diameter. That shuld fit inside the rear strut molding. We'll see. If it doesn't then I might paint it chrome silver, and roof mount it. Does anyone know what kind of paint I can use? Does the metallic chrome-silver paint have any real metal flakes in it? I know it's gotta be lead free...
Circuit City has offered to take back the fugly Terk antenna if I found the XM20 someplace else. This is their first 350Z, so they're being very nice. Ofcourse it cost them about $100, because they had to pay for resetting the check engine light that came on when they installed the XM.
Btw, I went to the dealer yesterday, and he has ordered the replacement clarion amp for me. He says it shuld take 2 weeks, but we'll see.
