I have heard people doing it on the weigh station on the highway? However i dont know how happy the CHP would be about it.

Some bulk landscaping supply stores have scales as well. They use them to weigh gravel, mulch, etc.

Pretend you have some trash in your trunk and go to the land-fill. When you go in they weigh it, then again when you go out so they know how much to charge you. Just put a few bricks in the back and drop them off.

Talking

They will tell you the weight of the bricks you dropped off, not necessary the total weight.

See if you can mess them up by going in with nothing and leaving with a few pieces of concrete. That'd be interesting.

Employee: "How are you leaving with more weight than you came in with?"
You: "Umm...I think I drove through some mud"
Employee: "Almost 50 pounds of mud huh?"
You: "It was deep"

P.S. OHW is right...but I'm sure if you asked them "Just out of curiosity, how much does my car weigh?" I'm sure they'd tell you.

There is a weigh station in Escondido that is closed after hours but you can drive your car up to it and still see the weight of the car if you peek into the window. It's right by the 15 and 78 junction. I'll give better directions if you want after I get them from my brother. He's the one that told me about it.

Ok, take the 15 to the 78 east towards ramona. Take the Centre City Parkway exit towards Center City Parkway South. Bear on N Center City Parkway.Turn onto W. Mission Ave. Turn right on Metcalf Street. The building is on the right side within 50 or so meters. You can see the place to park your car is cut out into the cement. It's big enough for a semi-truck. Get out of your car and walk to the right about 30 yards. There is an office with about 3 stairs leading to it. If you peek inside the window you see a green display screen with the weight of your car. My brother used to weigh his car this way all the time after modding. He said he hasn't done it in 2 years so no guarantee if it's still there. Don't see a reason why it is not still this easy. I hope you find it witih no trouble. Let me know if it works out. Oh yeah, go after hours so that the place is closed. Look at a map before you go if the directions seem confusing. Metcalf street is right near the 15 and 78 junction!

Hmmm... maybe it's time to fill the tires with helium - to cut down on rotational weight and create some lift
