Default Need info on tires...

Can someone point me in the right direction and tell me where the best lowest cost place is to obtain tires for the following sizes:

2 - 275/40/18

2 - 245/40/18

Where can I get the lowest cost for these? On a budget

Yes... I know theres a wheel and tire section on the forum... but theres more traffic here

Thanks!

Discount Tire Direct seems to have pretty good prices (discounttiredirect.com) you could also check tirerack.com. Both offer pretty good prices and have a fairly wide selection.

I have a question.. For those who buy tires online. Where do you go to have the new tires installed?? Dealership or local mom-and-pop shop will do?

I don't know about DTD, but I do know that tire rack has something set up with local shops to do mounting and balancing. Tire rack has a search on their website where you can find local recommended installers. I have not personall dealt with tire rack, but I have a friend that has. He seemed quite happy with his experience.

I just did a purchase with Reggie at: www.tirerack.com. He research before making a recommendation for 18 X 9.0 SSR GT3 rims w+31 offset. He wanted to insure "stagger" was met. Also, is "drop shipping" tires to shop here in ABQ that will mount, balance and perform allignment.

Les Schwab is a NorthWest-based chain but they absolutely rock at what they do (tires, rims, brakes). The customer service is flawless and they even patch tires for free 99% of the time because they want you to be a return customer. Plus they gaurentee their work.

They have stores in WA, OR, Northern CA, NV, ID, UT, MT.

Besides them, I have gone with Discount Tires to have wheels installed. They were decent.
